Woooohooooooo! Damn that felt great to read! A branch of the media calling the NYFL* out on all the ******** coming out of their mouths! Damn! I feel great!

deadspin has the highlights of this letter, their hot take is comical

The NFL needs to come off their high horse and this letter is a good start. Nice job NY Times!
There's a lot of huge egos in the front office at 345 Park Ave. My intuition says Pash is behind a lot of this stuff and until he goes we're going to get more of the same.

Basically Ted Wells' law firm has argued:

"The tobacco industry is a bunch of scumbags. We should know; we represented them."

NFL should start by controlling themselves before they threaten the NYT.

Didn't Goodell or someone else on Park Ave contact all the owners and get on the same page on CTE? Either they didn't or owners DON'T CARE - although they should, since this is an existential issue.

It's not nice to mess with the Gray Lady.

Now if only there were a way to get this appended to the Amicus Brief regarding the falsehoods presented by Clement during the Appeal as evidence of how the NFL plays fast and loose with the truth...

How'd the tobacco industry get roped into this?
