It was me, further confirming that above

Sounds like we are getting sanu. Both he and Edelman are following each other on Instagram. Can't be a coincidence.

I have a awful feeling Sanus already agreed to sign with us.
It's only awful if he was really expensive. I think he's a decent-to-good receiver, the no drops stat someone posted is promising. He'd be good depth, 3rd/4th target, which is what he was in Cincy. If you're looking at Edelman, Sanu, and Dola (who I'm not sure Sanu is better than, or very different from) then I could live with that. Since we haven't heard about Danny contract-wise if they're replacing him with one or two guys from this group of remaining FAs then I'm not sure they're necessarily better off.

It's an old Hubie Brown adage from the NBA that sometimes you see a guy playing 20 minutes a game somewhere and scoring 15 ppg and you think "wow if we started that guy he could score 25 or 30!". Then you sign him and he still scores 15 ppg because that's what he is.

Wasn't Sanu a college QB or something at Rutgers, sure I remember something about that. Remember him throwing a bomb to AJ Green also.
He was a QB in high school and has done some wildcat and gadget plays in college and the NFL. He completed 8/18 passes for 5 TDs in college, 5/5 for 2 TDs in the NFL.

If you can get Kearse & Sanu for the same or less money combined (you could even throw Powell in too) than Marvin Jones then you get great value.

Jones at $8m a year is overpaying.

Yes, I agree with this. I think Kearse is probably the best of the three of them, too.

Usually you wouldn't expect a player to have much insight into a team's potential moves, but it could make sense if they are also trying to improve Edelman's contract, similar to how Ninkovich got a bit of a raise after they signed Sheard.

Yes I know. It's just that I don't see the point in getting Sanu when I view his ceiling no higher than LaFell's + he will cost more than keeping LaFell would have + there's risk in not grasping the playbook/taking a while to build chemistry with Brady.

But maybe LaFell became a problem. Maybe he was not working hard to come back from injury. Maybe his confidence was shot after his struggles. We have no idea.

I am luke warm on Sanu, but I think he might be better than what LaFell was before he got here. What he did in 2014 (56 catches for 790 yards and 5 TDs) is better than anything LaFell did prior to coming to the Patriots.

Hopefully Sanu can do what LaFell did in 2014. Many people here were as down on LaFell before he signed as they are on Sanu now.

People were right to be down on Lafell and one good season in your ENTIRE career does not change the fact that he is who he is (or that Sanu is Sanu and will continue to be Sanu). People hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with trash heap WRs are Odyssey level homers and their opinions should be taken with a grain of salt.

Jets and Phins interested in Forte per rap. Would rather not face him twice a year

With all the hate for Sanu, a lot of people will be buying new monitor screens if he does sign here.

Sanu is serviceable- not a rock star.

Good ole Hubie. He is spot on. BB and the coaching staff is excellent in terms of knowing when they are at a point of diminishing returns with a player. Sometimes less is more.

ok so at this point what is Percy Harvin doing?
