The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

With Kraft? Yes! If it was an honest effort, of course they would. The problem most people have with him (along with propping up Goodell after the first time he railroaded the Patriots) is that the Patriots appear to come in second in his allegiances, and that he essentially sided with the corrupt lowlifes trying to set up Brady and the team. I really don't know what is so hard to understand about that. It's not personal in any way other than the person making the final decisions for this franchise does not appear to have it's best interests at heart.

Also, unless I'm wrong, an appeal of some sort would be a necessary step to any further action involving the courts. Appealing and losing would have paved the way for the next step. So, his capitulation basically sent the chances of getting the picks to zero. He left the team with no other options from the start, for reasons not in the best interests of this franchise, and that's what people are pissed at.
Lost, it seems, in all of this is that by suing the NFL itself Kraft would be putting his ownership in jeopardy over essentially the 29th pick in the NFL draft and alienating the very owners who could be forced to vote to decide the franchises fate.

Talk about a poison pill.

That would never happen over this. The further along this went, the worse the NFL would have looked.

Even if you're not going to use it (suing), you don't give it up right away. You at least use the threat of it to give yourself some leverage. Kraft didn't even get in one punch before surrendering.

Why won't the Kraft haters / detractors, etc just accept the words of a guy who was duped and admitted it. Go back and read what he said again:

Robert Kraft Apologizes To Patriots Fans, Calls NFL's Actions 'Incomprehensible'

Just let it go already, even if Goodell wanted to actually do the right thing (admit they were wrong, there was no evidence, nothing out of the ordinary happened and there is such a thing as the Ideal gas law), the a/hole owners that pulled off this scam and ultimate heist would still not allow it to happen.

For whatever reason, be it spy gate make up call, refusal to believe a team can be as good for as long at the Pats have in the salary cap era, whatever it is.......they will not do the right thing. They are aholes, period and don't ever forget it.

For me, I accept Krafts apology. I know he kept this team in the area and my experience, having followed this team since the very first game and the NFL my entire life is that the guy is a true fan and a tremendous owner.

That's good enough for me.

Because either his gullibility is incomprehensible or his loyalties lie elsewhere, neither is what you want from someone who has final say for the franchise.

Why does everyone else have to feel the same way you feel?

So, you think the NFL wouldn't do anything that would make it look bad?

I don't think anyone actually hates Kraft as a person or an owner in general. I feel his decisions to place the POS commissioner and his fellow owners interests above that of his team and its fans interests to be misguided and detrimental. It is sad to me that he apparently for whatever reason did not realize his team was unfairly punished in 2007, decided to support the POS in the Rice fiasco and failed to take whatever available actions short of suing to support his team and most important player last year. I wish that he would demonstrate in word and actions that he realizes that the POS is the real problem not his henchmen otherwise I fear that another bogus violation and punishment will be forthcoming.

The smear campaign of unsubstantiated rumors and innuendo leaking out of Park Ave. would still be in full swing with a scandal hungry media ready to feed the ignorant public masses all the water cooler gossip they can gobble up.

When he loses Mar. 3rd I can see the vindictive POS doing just that. Fabricated PSI results will be leaking out around the 4th or 5th.

Edit: Nevermind, they'll probably be coming out just before the 3rd. What was I thinking?

Because it is more reasonable than how you feel......trying to hate someone is very unbecoming

You're assuming that's what Kraft did and why....baselessly, mind you.....you would only assume that way due a dislike or hate of a person.....your standing along with the reasoning behind it are very similar to Goodells perceived handling of deflategate

Why do you claim I hate Kraft every post. I disagree with his actions. You seem completely incapable of separating disagreeing with hate. Very simplistic way of looking at things. Or maybe it's just that you can't make a viable argument otherwise.

Your assumptions are baseless.......it ends there....there's no way to look at nonsense other than simply

This apology is nothing more than his opening attempt at deflecting the blame onto the lawyers.

Pretty much. More and more in the media are starting to grudgingly agree with the science of the whole thing and shooting holes in the NFL's case. Doesn't matter, though.

Because the league has continued to go after Brady and continues to lie about the Patriots and smear them and Kraft continues to play along with them and give Goodell a pass on it.
