Chris Harris: "The only way to take Gronk down is by going for his knees"

Seattle didn't need to go for his knees in SB49 they tackled him properly going for the knees is just dirty.
I was thinking the same thing. I don't remember low hits in the SB last year.

It's really funny that a sitting duck who is going to every media outlet in America to proclaim that his shoulder is badly damaged....is seemingly advocating cheap shots on another player.

Pats need to start tackling low. If it's legal I don't know why they don't do more of it. If Belichick's team start doing it effectively and landing guys on IR the league will almost certainly outlaw it which is what we all want to see for Gronk's sake.

Ugh kinda wish he didn't say anything

"They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. They take out one of Gronk's knees, you take out 2 of theirs. *That's* the *Patriots* way!"
Isn't that just like a Denver Bronco? Brings a knife to a gun fight.

hmm..well, he's right. denver tries to take players knees out all the time..

although i can understand ppl thinking its a sex joke.

Maybe the team should look into fitting Gronk with custom knee braces. I’ll take a slightly slower Gronk over a broken-for-the-season Gronk any day.
He wears a brace over the right one already.

"So... what are you... prepared to do?"

The Broncos have been a dirty team long before Harris, Ward and the rest of their current players got to Denver

Their OL used to specialize in the illegal knee-destroying chop blocks

He could of just said hit him low. I dot think trying to wrap up at the knees is so bad, its the lunging thats dirty

I'm not as worried about this as I used to be. He has already developed a technique to deal with it- if you notice, he'll leave the ground at the moment of contact and tries to fall on top of the tackler. It's only the blindside hit that's worrisome.

I bet BB muzzles them tomorrow. Gronk's response may not go over well with him.

After what happened (benched 1st quarter divisional round) with Welker after his hilarious foot press conference I'm afraid what BB will do to Gronk. ...
