Exactly. "Considering" means waiting to see if the Pats win.I'm sure the findings will fit their agenda.....I'm also sure they will "release" them they day after the AFCCG should the Pats win.
Come on, it's 32 over all, and the good of all......Why can't the patriots do their own study and show the results?
Goodell is trying to disprove Ideal Gas Law. I'm sure he'll be sending this research to The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences with the request that it be considered for the Nobel Prize awards in the fields of Physics and Chemistry.
If he doesn't get the Noble prize, maybe he'll get an "ESPY" for the categories of physics and chemistry.
Why can't the patriots do their own study and show the results?
They could have hired an independent firm to develop a rigorous protocol and conduct a truly scientific analysis of the impact of changes in temperature on ball pressure, then released all of the data, analyses and interpretation for public scrutiny. But that would not be in the best interests of the 32 now, would it?Why can't the patriots do their own study and show the results?

If the Pats win AFC
NFL releases the numbers and shows that Pats/Brady didn't tamper and drop appeal and give Pats back picks and money.
Just to stop the Super Bowl week Goodell questions of deflategate.
Pats lose
Numbers are shown that all balls maintained with in the 12.5-13.5 range no matter what.
With no Patriots distraction can use week to praise Manning all week long.
What a joke. How convenient to "release" the findings as the Pats approach a possible SB run. Even the average non Pats fan can see thru this BS. This will blow up in their face. And No, they won't release any info to exonerate the Pats. And let me guess, it was an "independent" team that did the testing. F' them
Idiocracy is becoming truth...My guess is that the NFL had the balls pumped up to 13 inside at room temperature, pregame.
Teams then played with the footballs outside in the cold for a half.
Then they took them back inside. But not for immediate pressure measurement, rather to let them sit inside for hours while they warm all the way back up to room temperature, while the 2nd half was played with the backup footballs.
Thus… voila! No loss of psi!
Then they will say with a straight face “playing with footballs outside in the cold has no effect on PSI”.
The haters will eat it up.
Those with a brain will say “but wait… PSI goes down with temperature, so they should have measured PSI while the footballs were still cold, as they did in the Jan 2015 AFCCG.
Then those with a brain will be completely ignored.
