You know NFL.com hasn't even ran a story on this, and yet here this is the story of the year for people. Chandler used some bad judgement, but he's obviously good to go. Move along, now.

It'll come out the day before the game to be a distraction

Thats my question If they found fake dope at CJs house, why did Foxboro Police not charge him with possession?

It has to do with the classification of the substance. However, it might be better for Jones's health it it were standard "weed," as opposed to the chemical ****tail that is sprayed on to the synthetic crap.

I do not trust that Chris Gasper citing 'someone with knowledge' as a factual report.
Who could that be? Its either Jones or someone who broke the law by speaking to him. Who would have any incentive to speak to him and let that out?
Suppose it were true, who would the source be that would be close enough to know, and also want to make it public?

It really is absurd. You can smoke fake grass legally and loose your whits about you but you can't buy a bottle of beer on Sundays at Market Basket?

That the spice products are called (legal) "fake weed" gives them its appeal. How bad can they be, if it's legal? Yet, in almost every single case/product, no one can tell you what chemical were used and/or what they do to the human body. Think about that...we have an unknown chemical ****tail sprayed on whatever it is to light it on fire (i.e. consume the chemicals) and no one knows what they are. Please be reminded that the "bath salts" that are oft sold by the same suppliers are/were legal, as well.

I know a guy who owns a few smoke shops. He sold that stuff when it was legal...made a fortune; accounted for most of his income! In fact, gas stations that sell the stuff were making more in that stuff than all of their other products. That's because people get hooked and keep buying it. That should tell you something...it's addictive. And no matter how many times a specific chemical in the current batch was outlawed, the manufacturers has another substitute lined up. FYI: in many cases, the old product had to be swept off the shelves and chucked.

So, people can refer to it as fake/synthetic weed, but it's just a chemical ****tail of which no one really knows what is contained, as they keep having to change the recipes.

Many get into this kind of innocently because they believe that if it's legal, it must be OK..can't be that bad for you. That's bunk! The truth is, people have not gotten wise to what's going on under the proverbial covers. This stuff should be banned everywhere. It's not "fake" weed! It's a mess and many people are fooled by it being displayed at gas stations, etc...

espn stooge and lolphins fanboy dan lebatard apparently is going on rant on his radio show that this thing i being covered up by the Pats and the police and no one cares.

Cover up? Uh Not sure when the story gets out only 2 days later that it can be considered a cover-up.
Lets note that Le Batard translates from French to English as "The Bastard"

Thanks Rhodey. It's been a long time since I've been in this scene.

With soon-to-be teenagers, I feel a little more informed.

It's a helluva lot more complicated than when I was buying dime bags and watching people slice up power with a deck of playing cards.

The game starts at 4:35 on Saturday, so I expect the players will come on the field at around 4:20. Does anyone else see a potential conflict?

According to the accounts, Jones showed up at the police station shirtless and in sweatpants. An officer who saw him wrote that Jones kneeled down as if praying, then laid down on the ground with his arms spread out.

Anyone who has ever smoked or been around spice: does it smell like weed? The report said his house smelled like burnt weed.

I clearly don't understand the problem. Because Class D substances are controlled, the next question is how he got it.

It boggles my mind that synthetic weed is legal.
The thing is, they can't just say 'synthetic weed, illegal'. There has to be a definition of what it is they're making illegal. And the thing about this stuff is they change it all the time.

Maybe if he rolled it into a blunt. Other than that, no. But then again, it's been over 5 years since I last smoked the stuff so there have probably been thousands of changes to the chemical compound.

They sell this synthetic weed at my local gas stations. They have some funny names too. I know some are calling him an idiot but he is young and learning. Give him a break, no one was hurt.
