Foxboro cops: Pats' Chandler Jones sought medical help early Sunday

It's possible that Godell will suspend Jones for 1 game in 2016.

Marcell Dareus was suspended one game for synthetic marijuana.
NFL suspends Bills' Marcell Dareus one game

Although that was a class C offense. Jones was a class D.

But we know Godell all too well...

Everything you're saying about the idiotic timing of this is dead on.

I think what you're missing here, shmessy, is that we're talking about a league where Johnny Manziel was still being given opportunities to be a starting QB despite dressing up like Tootsie and going to Fire Island or something.

You're drastically underestimating how desperate some teams are for a pass rushing DE from a successful system and the amount of looking they other way they're willing to do to sign the guy.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't feel differently about that. I feel differently about how much a GM from a ****ty team looking to make a splash will care.
Yeah, does anyone think Greg Hardy will be out of football next September?

I don't think they'll trade him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's inactive on Saturday.

Bill is too old and too close to #5 to get on his moral high-horse and make a point during the playoffs.

Besides, his son Brian has been nailed for weed. Does he really want to be Nancy Reagan now?

I guarantee Bill has toked a few times in his youth.

Unless the league does some BS back-room strongarming CJ plays.

That synthetic sh*t is made with nasty ingredients! That it's deemed legal in some states is superfluous. The thinking that says because it's legal, it's OK and cannot harm you, is incomplete and incorrect. His physical condition will deteriorate if he continues to consume those poisons. They keep outlawing certain chemicals used to make it, and the manufacturers just change the formula, again and again...the only reason it stays legal in some states.

He was arrested and Jones wasn't and there is a difference.
Thats my question If they found fake dope at CJs house, why did Foxboro Police not charge him with possession?

He was the guy I was thinking about. 8m after body slamming a woman on top of a bunch of guns.

The cop said class D delta, right? He probably saw some rolled joints, assumed it was weed and went on his way since they decrimmed it.

If this is the 1st time he is trying this junk, where did he get it? From someone?

Just hope BillB yells the crap out of him for being STUPID. Maybe that will keep him straight!

Makes sense to me. I'm clueless with legalities of this.

I just never wanted to get caught...

If Jones hits free agency Irsay will make a strong push for him. His type of guy. Stumbling around barefoot, shirtless and being unable to form a sentence is a normal Tuesday morning for Irsay. Irsay wouldn't even care how good of a player he is.

Because it's not illegal to possess in Foxboro. City of Boston it is but only comes with a $300 fine. No criminal charges are made

OK.

This state kills me.

...and you still have Blue Laws in some towns

And heaven forbid you sell booze in a supermarket. Thankfully the liquor store lobby saved us from that one.

For those who don't think it is that bad:

I would tend to disagree!

Those who keep smoking it, typically find that the poisons that are contained in it start working through the skin...like meth. And it becomes addictive. It will also screw with your motor skills. The only reason why it stays legal in some states is because the manufacturers keep changing up the formula, after a particular batch gets banned. FYI: there are many individual manufacturers who make this stuff..who knows what they're mixing the last batch with? It's oft compared to weed; called "synthetic weed." However, it's a ****tail with a lot of nasty stuff in it.

Again under the CBA synthetic weed is NOT banned so this doesn't fall under the suspension list.

Point. However, they better wisen up! This stuff needs to go on the list. There are a lot of small fly-by-night manufacturers spraying all kinds of materials with who knows what chemicals? This stuff is really bad. FYI: I know people who own a smoke shop...they'd sell it to people, but tell their friends to stay away from it. (It's a great money maker and those who buy it keep coming back.) And I'm just trying to warn people. Do not be fooled by the fact that it is deemed "legal" in some locales.

And heaven forbid you sell booze in a supermarket. Thankfully the liquor store lobby saved us from that one.

It really is absurd. You can smoke fake grass legally and loose your whits about you but you can't buy a bottle of beer on Sundays at Market Basket?

With that said, there a little section in the Stop & Shop in Westboro near where I live but its ridiculously overpriced.

In Wegman's in Northboro the have a kick-ass section. Its a full-blown liquor store with a very good wine and beer selection.

I vacation in Maine and in Hannaford also has beer, wine and booze. Its like I'm being naughty.

This state is so bass-akwards....
