Referee NFL Conspiracy

Someone has his tin foil hat on a little too tight!

It's not tin foil. It's human nature. Someone you truly believe screws you (Goodell) and gets away with it (Brady), is just going to be allowed to continue unchallenged? Hell no. It's bad for parity and it's bad for Goodys image. It's not tin foil, it's corruption plain and simple.

You have an incredible delusion that's it's impossible that the Patriots struggling is their own fault.

So in a post saying the Patriots are playing very badly the last few weeks, you are disagreeing with me?

And that explains your brilliance in understanding the English language? Absurd.

It looked like he pushed off to get separation. Defender did a stanislavski but, nevertheless, refs are looking at the catch and it looks like no separation without the push off.

No conspiracy, maybe not as obvious as it looked in real time, though.

Patriots had 7 penalties for 41 yards, Dolphins had 10 penalties for 93 yards. Gimme a freakin' break with the whole "refs are out to get us" idiocy.

One team played like the game meant something, the other played like they were just killing time until their coach got fired. It just wasn't the teams you thought it should be.

This is a non-sense argument. The Patriots are one of the least penalized teams. What we are talking about is the fact that the Patriots OPI penalties are far and away leading the league. Also, the Patriots have had twice as many 25+ yard plays taken away as the next closest team. This years numbers are far and away weird and outlier compare to other years. There is absolutely no denying that the Patriots have had a huge number of big plays taken away and it's in the most uncanny ways.

I think he pushed off ... would have been nice to see another angle on it.

If a Patriots player (all season long) so much as breaths near an opponent receiver or DB flags fly from all directions.

If an opposition player literally pins a Patriots receivers arms by his side or pushes a DB to the ground, 9/10 no flag is thrown.

Then add in all the timely "missed" flags like the throat slash against the Jets, numerous holds on 3rd & 4th down all season long, a few cheap shots to Brady waaaaaay after he's released the ball (there was 3-4 in the Denver game alone that went uncalled)...it's easy to see there's a pattern occurring when it comes to NFL officiating.

look on the bright side...today's super bowl caliber win by Tannyswill means that Ross gives HIM a Suh contract and insures he's the starter next season. Heh...incoming crybaby bombs!!!

Tannehill already got a $96 million extension.

I think the NFL has corruption, but to me all of its due to money. I do think they were out to get the Patriots, but to me everything they do is based off of what makes them more money.

Deflategate did not make the NFL lose fan support, all it did was gain them even more support and publicity as they had a topic that was heavily discussed throughout the offseason news headlines. They know that they are such a powerful machine that unfortunately, they know that even bad publicity is still good publicity for them.

I do think they make some bad calls, but I don't think they're out to get the Patriots in specific. They're out to get pretty much anything they can get.

You really think they're worried that if they don't get enough parity that they'll lose money? Think again.

Do you know how silly you sound? "The Patriots are one of the least penalized teams, therefore there is clearly a referee conspiracy to hurt the Patriots!!!"

Do you have anything official on this, or are you just pulling it out of your hindquarters?

The Patriots are the top AFC draw out of everyone left. CBS execs are praying they are in the Super Bowl. So if there was a money/ratings based NFL conspiracy, then yes the Patriots would be the beneficiaries.

What are you even talking about???!! Absurd that you twisted my post that way. Use logic, don't twist.

If you read Patsfans at least once a week, you would've noticed the thread citing statistics from Football Outsiders last week.

I haven't twisted anything. You literally just wrote that the Patriots are one of the least penalized teams in the NFL in the same thread where you are trying to argue that they are the victims of a referee/league conspiracy.

Apparently the answer is no, you don't realize how silly you sound.

While I don't think the refs were the reason the Pats lost, I will say they absolutely are biased. Gronk is getting mugged all game. If he so much as breathes on a defender, he's flagged. I also think it's not just the Pats. The leagues plan to have parity in full force. It is just so obvious anymore. I guess that's just the way it will be here on out.

Yes. Putting either one ahead of the other is a matter of taste.
If you include retired NFL players, there's a former Heisman trophy winning 2000 yard runner who has to be in consideration (even if he was acquitted).......

Lol that was a push off by Martin and I saw it right away. Take off your Tin foil hat for a second and stop making excuses like our team can't make any mistake without it being someone else's fault.

the issue for me isn't that martin was called, its that the dolphins pushed off and picked all game, and didn't get called once.

I recused myself from mentioning him, because I've hated him ever since his 63-yard run vs. UCLA.

Are you really this simple?

What is so hard to understand about the fact that the Patriots, far and away, are penalized by wiping out big gainers of 25+? No other team. They have twice as many such wipeouts as the next closest team. Usually by OPI, of which they also lead the league. What could be so hard to understand? It's inexplicable why you find this so difficult.

Because I am not a paranoid conspiracy theorist. I leave that for fans of loser franchises.

Patriots played like crap and deserved to lose. Excuses are for losers, so stop trying to make them.

So, in my post in which I said, the Patriots played very badly and have been playing badly for a while, and never said anything about deserving anything, you thought it would be smart of you to disagree. I'm done with you. Done with lamebrains that can't read.

We are not talking about winning or losing, we are talking about opi's and if anyone has been paying attention we have been targeting for not. If you watch the games you see it clear as day. Other teams extend their arms no call, we do it and out comes a yellow flag. We league the league in it and by a large margin.

With that said. Coach didn't care about this game, he was just trying things out so don't get mad.
