Was on the roster for 3 total games and 47 snaps. Not like he has had multiple shots.

This would be like if NFL has a minor set up like MLB/NHL he would have been called up once and sent down once.

There's a huge difference between saying that the Jets have a good shot to knock us off and (in your words) 'I can't see how that Pats win this game'. The first is acknowledging that the team on the other side is a good team and could exploit our weaknesses, the second is saying a 12-2 team (which has already been dealing with numerous injuries for the last two months) somehow has no shot to beat a 9-5 team who doesn't have a win against a team over 0.500 the entire season. The former is realistic, the latter is ridiculous.

You are taking my statement out of context. Clearly I was referring to the health of our team. With both teams fully healthy there is no competition, Pats take the Jets 9 out of 10 times. Jets are playing good, having won the last 4 in a row. Marshall and Decker are good receivers. Fitz is having his best year. The Pats have depleted offensive weapons (Lewis, JE, and Blount are out) and now they may lose Dola for this game and maybe even Lafell. My point was that the Jets handled JE well in the first game and yet Dola stepped up and had a great game, if he is now out then it will be difficult to win at Metlife because TB will have Gronk as the main weapon which I'm sure the Jets will try to neutralize. Maybe I'm just trying to prepare myself mentally for a possible loss. I hope for a win of course.

NFL sunday ticket is great if you want to shell out the $$$ - they have a cheaper version available for laptop, PDA, iPad, etc. i think $249 per year.

Yeah, I'm actually buying a house currently and will most likely get DirecTV which will come with a Sunday Ticket, but we don't take possession of the house til right after the Super Bowl. Doesn't help me this year.

Or maybe the game plan is ultra conservative & they plan on running 40 times & a fringe receiver was expendable...

If we run 40 times against the same d that brady was the leading rusher with 15 yds the first time we played...than i officially have no clue what the game plan is on a week to week bases. Not that I do know but still.

Harper had 15 catches for 150 yards and a TD in preseason. Hankerson required 2-3 people to show him where to lineup. There's two games before the playoffs.

If they were head over heels thrilled with Hankerson, they'd send somebody to the practice squad so they could keep him. Seems to me, if they were going to keep a roster spot for the future, they wouldn't have cut him in the first place.

I could be wrong.

If this was the preseason, or even early in the year, I think that could be an interesting topic for debate. But it's week 16, and if it's clear that Hankerson won't learn the system well enough to contribute within the next 2-3 weeks, then there's no possible reason to keep him around.
