CB Leonard Johnson chips in with solid work for the Patriots

• New slot CB Johnson got a lot of snaps, and even started.
• Ebner got 10 snaps at S.
• Chandler only got 1 snap at TE; Williams, Cleveland and Cam Fleming all got more.
• Mayo got ~80% of the snaps.
• Collins, Butler and Ryan were the only defenders who went wire-to-wire.

Also, in Reiss' opinion, Hicks was the best DL in the game, notwithstanding Watt's participation.

Interesting that Chandler got only one snap. Gronk played a decent amount, but he seemed to play more as a receiver than a TE which could explain chandler's lack of playing time. But still surprising

Chandler was downgraded to questionable and was limited in practice with a knee injury.

It seems odd that Coleman didn't get any snaps considering that he was healthy enough to be active. Obviously Johnson was playing well but you'd think they would have pulled butler and Ryan at the end of the game

I'd think the last guys you'd pull when your opponent wants to make a comeback are your CBs.

I think our top CBs generally play wire-to-wire, except that some years a goal-line package has left one or both of them out.

True, but still active. I guess he was the backup plan in case Gronk didn't look healthy during the game
