Edelman signed his one year deal in 2013 on same day they signed Sanders to offer sheet. Amendola had already signed a month prior.

And Lafell was a year later.

Amendola is more of a reason than LaFell.

They could have said going into FA in '13 that they wanted Sanders and offered a better deal instead of signing Amendola. Instead they went in on Amendola and made an offer that the Steelers would easily match. If they weren't high on Amendola they might have decided to offer a better bigger deal to Sanders that the Steelers couldn't match.

In 2014 it was probably going to be Edelman & LaFell or Sanders & LaFell. Don't think they ever had an intention to sign both Edelman and Sanders.

But the offer sheet and Edelman being signed on same day means they wanted both. You just can't say they had intention to sign both, when in fact they did sign both to deals.

No you wouldn't have to root for anyone. You wouldn't need to care what Denver did because you'd have the tiebreaker over them as well as being undefeated.
