Mike Pereira is wrong.Sorry, but I'll accept the rules interpretation of the former VP of Officiating.

Also, I don't know if it's a case of teams figuring Chung out, or the Patriots having to ask too much of Chung, but that's become an area of major concern in the past couple of weeks. I'm hoping it's a matter of Collins being out + CB3 issues, and that it can be brought back into order.
Mike Perieira agrees with me: They should have stopped the clock on that final play.
Guess I really do know the rules after all, huh?

Not that it really makes a difference, but the clock should have stopped on that last play. He went out untouched.

- @MikePereira yes but isn't it the rule that if you go backwards out of bounds you wind the clock?

@JJMcIntosh >>Makes no difference if you are not touched
Cannon has been out for a while. It's not surprising he struggled.
Vollmer was obviously not back to 100%, so it's not surprising he struggled.
What I'd like an explanation for is what was going on in the middle of the O-line.

He wasn't surrendering himself. The fact that he fell down does not mean he was surrendering himself. No, you don't know the rules. The fact that you are still trying to justify yourself is laughable. . Pereira is wrong and Patchick posted the relevant rule to prove you both don't know what you are talking about.
The officiating was horrendous tonight and it wasn't just the inadvertent whistle, which was Rex Ryan's fault and not the official.
Graham hit Brady on from behind on the Rambo run back of the interception. Yes, offsetting penalties were called, but Graham was just one of the people targeting Brady. That sort of hit should get Graham a fine. Graham also went low at Brady's knees on another play.
The refs missed a huge false start on Cordy Glenn in the first half during the drive for the field goal. They also missed Hughes lined up in the neutral zone at least twice.
What I found ridiculous was the calls that Cannon and the Bills RT weren't on the LOS. Reviewing the play showed them.both where they were supposed to be.
The spots were off a few times as well.
Watkins clearly wasn't even down until his butt landed on the sidelines. Patchick's rule has no application here.

Seriously, dude. Just admit you made an honest mistake. There's no shame in that. Not only do I know I'm right, but I have a former Director of Officiating agreeing with me. You're just digging yourself even deeper and will look even foolish when more official come out tomorrow and agree with my (and Mike Pereira's) interpretation.

ESPN's officiating expert agrees with me (and Mike Pereira). So I suppose that's 2 former NFL officials who are both wrong?
I got 2 rules experts and former NFL refs supporting me. And those opposed have....?

In that situation the clock must be stopped and that is an officiating mistake......

Exactly. And since he was not touched, he gets the "roll out of bounds."This angle does not show his butt certainly hitting out of bounds. The video shoes it hitting near the out of bounds - maybe in when it first hits, maybe not.
Unfortunatley I haven't seen the game...can anyone explain what happened on the brady-amendola pass that was whislted? I didn't get what really went on there.
Yup. Uh huh. Sure thing. Mike Pereira disagrees with you. Jim Daoupolous disagrees with you.You twits are ignoring the rules.

But you're right, and those 2 former NFL officials (one a ref, the other VP of Officiating) don't know what they're talking about.
