NFL record held by a Pat least likely to ever be broken

Most snow removed by a prison inmate for a game-winning field goal ever-Mark Henderson.
Aaron Hernandez has a shot at this one.

NFL will be extremely lucky if it lasts another 100 years.
Then these records may hold then. My niece was watching someone play video games and it had millions of views. I hope that not the next big sport. Watching someone play video games.

A regular season record that I consider the most important is the win percentage. Brady's win percentage is
77.6%. What that means is that Brady has won 12.41 games per season over his entire career. For a fan of this team that is so sweet. The next best is Manning at 68.2% (10.91 games/season), which by itself is incredibly impressive in the free agency era.
I think Brady's win percentage record will be durable (unless somebody comes along to post a great win percentage over a very short career)

Considering the length of time he's played, I think this is one of the most impressive records in sports history and possibly the most important stat in the NFL. For the vast majority of QBs, going 12-4 is a career year. For Brady, it's below average.

The greatest obsession ever in the NFL by an opposing coach, Rex Ryan.

The winning records associated with how they play post season for both Brady and this team may never be challenged.. i.e. most playoff wins by a HC, best post season winning percentage, most yardage in SB #12, most passes completed in SB etc.

If they make it to the most consecutive winning seasons in a row in 2021, that will forever stand..

That's a good thought. The biggest threat is the Jests' Nick Folk, who at age 31 has 311 in a row (he's never missed one). So if Ghost were to miss one this week, that would mean Folk would need to hit well over 100 in a row, which is going to be very tough but is possible.

There are a handful of guys in the low to mid 200's, ages ranging from 30 to 39.
Thanks for responding to that… I took a quick look and couldn't find it.

Summarizing above, plus adding a few that came to my attention through another conversation. What's missing?

Brady – Belichick era

  • Wins by a Coach/QB
  • Playoff wins by a Coach/QB
  • SB wins by a Coach/QB
  • Longest consecutive win streak in NFL history: 21
  • Consecutive quarters scored (…and counting)
  • Largest SB comeback, total, and in 4th quarter: 10 points
  • Speculative: Most consecutive winning seasons in a row (must continue through 2021)
Brady, general
  • Winning percentage by a QB with over XX games (77.6% currently)
  • Consecutive playoff wins to start career: 10
  • Most playoff wins by a QB: 21 (…and counting)
  • Most division titles by a QB: 12 (…and counting)
  • Speculative: Most regular season wins by a QB (Manning/Favre at 187; Brady at 169)
  • Speculative: Most total wins by a QB: (Favre at 199; Manning at 197; Brady at 190)
Brady, SB's
  • Most passes completed in Super Bowls, career: 164 (…and counting)
  • Most completions in a single Super Bowl: 37
  • Most consecutive completions in a single Super Bowl: 16
  • Most yards gained in SB's, career: 1605 (…and counting)
  • Most SB TD passes, career: 13 (…and counting)
  • Most single SB pass attempts without an interception: 48
  • Most passes attempted in Super Bowls, career: 247 (…and counting)
  • Most SB appearances by a starting QB: 6 (…and counting)
  • Speculative: Most SB wins by a QB: 5 (now at 4…and counting)
Everybody Else
  • Gostkowski consecutive extra points made (about 440 I think…and counting; Folk at 311)
  • Willie McGinest, most playoff sacks (16 in 18 games)
  • Givens and Vrabel, SB TD receptions in consecutive years (4 tied at 2)
  • Speculative: Gronkowski TD’s by at TE (Gonzalez at 111; Gates at 101; Gronk at 62; 3 others active and in the 50's; )

At some point I wouldn't mind going through a thread that doesn't have a cheating reference by our own fans. Stop feeding into it.
You're right. My bad.

Wow - - look at those AWAY GAME records!!!!!

Nobody is in the same stratosphere as Brady in AWAY GAME win percentage (and the Great Favre has a LOSING away game record).

HOLY CRAP!

Not only is Brady, far and away, the best AWAY GAME QB percentage vs. the others' AWAY GAME percentage, but............

Brady's AWAY GAME win percentage is BETTER (.68696) than every single one of those QB's HOME GAME win percentage!!!!!!!!!!!

That deserves another !

Most passes completed in Super Bowls, career: Tom Brady 164. That is 74 more than 2nd place.

He also holds the record for most completions in a single Super Bowl game: 37 in 2015. That will be tough to break, but it is possible.
I remember when Tommy originally broke the SB completion record with 32.

Good times, good times.

I don't think that's right. I think it's better than their TOTAL not their home

Brady will retire with more than 200 wins, I don't see any QB ever breaking that. It would require a QB to win at almost 80% for almost 20 seasons. Ain't happening.

Where is Joe Montana on that list? I don't see him.

The last made drop kick in NFL history.

While it may not the least likely record to ever be broken, there is one more worth mentioning.

With the Patriots next win, Bill Belichick will have his 13th straight season with double-digit victories.

In a parity-driven league that wields the double-edged sword of a salary cap and free agency, accompanied by a draft order that punishes excellence, that is going to be very difficult to match - and that is before you even consider how many more seasons with ten or more wins BB will have.

Even if the NFL expands its regular season schedule beyond 16 games, that is unlikely to ever be equaled. Coaches don't stay in one place that long any longer, and it is nearly impossible to avoid a losing season due to injuries, age, free agent losses, the cap catching up with the team, some bad draft picks, a bad trade, etc.

If we are including older records, have to go with most rushing yards in a season by a team in a single season. In 1978, New England rushed for 3,165 yards behind Hannah, Gray etc. That seems unbreakable now since it's such a passing league and because it's just an astonishing amount.

Yeah, there are a bunch of team and Belichick records that I didn't include because the original thread was about current players. The Belichick list would be similar to Brady's - long.

You might say "wields a triple-edged sword" if there was such a thing, because the Goodell's office has shown a repeated tendency to take away first and lower round draft choices from at least one team that flaunts the parity bias.
