ESPN names Jim Brady as new public editor (I like the Jets more than they like me) from his twitter account

he starts Nov 15th.

Hate this guy already, but I'll wait and see if ESPN will officially correct the Mortenson bunk.

Looks kind of like the MCI.

Are you fu.cking serious? You've got to be kidding me. Is this even a real tweet?

Sure, I'll play. How about

Breaking news: Lifelong #Jets fan does not like #Patriots. Has zero to do with judging the journalism produced about them. That's the job.

This (fan doesn't equal too biased), at least, can be argued in his favor. Unfortunately for him, the whole "just got here and am already ****ting on the Patriots" thing already demonstrates that his judgment is suspect at best, and non-existent at worst. And having good judgment is part of being an ombudsman.

He should be fired immediately. Instead, he'll probably get a raise.

Personal bias is fine because ESPN has been a bastion of objective, self-critical analysis and proud guardian of freedom of speech. Just ask Simmons, or Reiss...

The decision to call Goodell "a liar" during that podcast led ESPN to suspend Simmons for three weeks and caused a well-documented fallout between him and the company.

At some point, two of the seven takeaways were taken away by ESPN.
Here’s what ESPN had to say about the changes: “[T]he story was given a tighter edit after its initial posting.”
