From reports, it would seem his head wasn't fully into it so he decided to go to the WWE..
He had Jeff Demps-itits

Sorry but the only guy that I know that had football as a hobby was Bo Jackson and Williams is not Bo Jackson.

All fine and dandy but they didn't have revis half 2012-2014... Gonna be a tough game. Their defense is very good.
Im sure we are dusting off the Eagles tape to see how the Eagles handed their defense its only loss of the season.
Im sure we are not planning on fighting them in a telephone booth and as strong as that secondary is spread out that d line since thet is the Jets biggest strength.
I think this is a game you have to dink and dunk and Brady cant hold on to the ball for more than 3 seconds.
Also expect field position nothing cute a good amount of field goals and bend but dont break defense they will not come after Fitzpatrick because he can read the blitz.
We will play alot of zone and force the Jets to create long drives.

BB said the other day he had 30-40 snaps at OT in a preseason game (Giants). Could be an emergency option to avoid exposing a PS player when Cannon returns.
Good information

The open question is whether any of this was at LT.

I tracked down the comment and BB was referring to when he was with the Lions. I don't know which side but would suspect right.
Q: If you need a third guy at the offensive tackle spot and Marcus Cannon isn't available, is Michael Williams an option? Read

BB: Well, depending on what our game day roster is and how things go and so forth, we'll do whatever we think is best. So I don't know what that is depending on what the circumstances are and what our options are. But Mike played tackle against the Jets in preseason with the Lions. So, I don't know if that answers you question or not, but he must've played 30, 40 snaps, whatever it was, maybe the whole second half or something like that. I mean, it was quite a bit in that game.

One of my sources told me that to minimize the problem at OT, we are actually going to add a Defensive Tackle to the roster. We are actually going to play with only ten players on offense, and 12 on defense to even it back out. Once again, that is just what my source said. TIFWIW

Either that or another safety.

Unlikely. That's what Detriot was doing and Williams was complimentary of NE in how they were utilizing his natural skill set better.

Agreed. Detroit had a good blocking TE (Pettigrew) and needed OT's, so they had Williams put on weight and tried to convert him to a ROT (at one point earlier this year, he was listed on the Detroit depth chart as back-up at ROT).

In Detroit, I couldn't find that he had played any regular season snaps over the last two years, it looks like in 2013 he was injured in camp and put on IR, and last year he was on the Detroit Practice squad. As mentioned earlier, he has played in a pre-season game for Detroit.

In the last 3 NE games (against JAC, DAL, and IND), the percent of offensive snaps he has played is 38%, 34%, and 58%, respectively. Clearly he has become a very important contributor as a blocking TE. It would be a little surprising if they tried to convert him to OT after he was so ineffective at that position in Detroit. That doesn't mean that he couldn't be an dire emergency fill-in OT (similar to Edelman as an emergency fill-in if Brady and Garoppolo went down).

Would be nice adding Lafell without losing Thornton.....

So Dobson still on the roster.

Is Chris Jones getting close?

I see three roster moves taking place... One to add Causell since we'll need another OT on the game day roster. A second to clear a space for LaFell. And the third is adding LaFell..

Alan Branch.
Branch has been playing well.

Jones is not a run stuffer.

Removing Branch leaves Seal as the only proven run stuffer on the interior D-line. I like Hicks and Brown's promise but the jury is still out.
