Game Day Thread Game thread: NFL Champions vs. Indy's whiners, 10/18/2015

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If by "the Pats" you mean the offense, this statement is accurate.. In reality "the Pats" are an offense, defense and special teams.. The D is having a poor night so far.

The defense has been up and down. Miserable on two drives and stout on two others. If the defense can pitch 50% and the offense pitches 100%, my math says that the Pats score more points in the second half.

You do realize that the Pats scored 20 points on offense and gave up 14 points on defense. The fluke pick 6 on Brady is the reason the Colts are winning, not the defense.

This game being close is only shocking if you've never watched sports before...stuff everyone expects to happen rarely goes as planned.

awful half and we're unlucky not to be winning.

defense has been terrible which is no surprise. we dont have the players to cover all of the colts weapons. we really need a turnover to break this open, maybe a tipped pick or something idk. if im the colts i forget about running just quick pass us to death. we cant stop it.

people talk about jimmy graham not being involed this year. well, gronk only has like 20 catches which is around 12th for tight ends. so far nothing in the first half. we have the greatest tight end in history and dont use him. come the **** on!
We don't use Gronk?

Are you okay?

I like that we are scoring but not confident enough in the D at this point to feel a win is certain.

OT: Seahawks are following the trend of SB losers not making the playoffs the following season. I know that there is plenty of season left, but they really have not looked like contenders. The Jimmy Graham thing really hasn't taken off (yet maybe) and the D has given up leads in four fourth quarters this season (FIVE if you include the SB).

The offense will go off in the 2nd half. Defense needs to get more pressure on Luck.

I really wish we had James White inactive and made Dobson active. Brady can attack that weak secondary of Indy but we have only 3 WR's and one of them has been here 3 weeks.

Thing is though, shmessy--that WR who's only been here 3 weeks is obviously playing much better than Dobson, and we can see it in the games. I'd also bet that it's fairly evident in practice, as well.

Is it Martin looking better than expected? Is it Dobson looking worse than expected? A bit of both? Who knows?

Why hasn't Lewis been involved more ? Time to get him going

Of course I realize that, since when is being on pace to give up 28 points a good night for any defense, nevermind a superbowl contender?

Wow.

My 8 year old son is acting better than some of you. RELAX.

Do you think that flukey SH^t is going to happen throughout the game? No.

Unfortunately my 8 year old won't go to be bed until he sees the Pats winning the game. haha

Anybody calling that last PI a "good call" I assume doesn't watch the NFL on a regular basis. If they did they would know that the single arm up on a defender pushing him away is NFL receiving 101. You call that penalty on every play if you call the one arm push/separator. It is why they almost always only call the two handed push and let everything one handed go......except here....except by the ref who already called McCourty for illegally playing football.

Please don't act like Jets fans and cry about the refs. It was questionable that Chandler committed OPI, but it is also questionable that Josh Kline recovered that onside kick. So it is a wash in my book.

The front 7 has so much talent, it's really frustrating to see them under-perform like this. Even without Hightower.

Reminds me of very recent Carolina or San Fran defenses who were great up front and had *so-&-so players in the secondary, but still got off the field.

*McCourty is a bonus of course

Could we please stop whining about the announcers and refs? Loser fan bases do that.

You are kidding yourself if you think the D is playing well.

They have been very average.
