By playing they way he has TB is proving that there never was anything to deflategate. It really was a hatchet job by Goodel. But of course we all knew that. BTW, where o where has goody gone, or where o where could he be?.... Hiding. The more Brady shows that a loss of air had nothing to do with his greatness, the more embarrassing it is for goodell, and the deeper Roger crawls under his rock.

Tom Brady proving that ball inflation has nothing to do with his greatness
ARLINGTON, Texas – You look at Tom Brady, and you have to wonder how different the narrative could have been. If, say, he started this season like Andrew Luck, dragging a 65.1 quarterback rating into October like an anchor. Or if Brady's mistakes and inefficiency had mirrored Luck's noxious ****tail: seven interceptions and a 56 percent completion rate. Slap those numbers under Brady's name, and they'd be used as pitchforks and torches.

I know where Goodell is, he is in the basement of the "world wide super dooper world headquarters" of the NFL on Madison Avenue.. biting his knuckles as hard as he can to justify his primal scream..

I want the haters to keep on hating , they have been doing a phenomenal job and it's been very helpful.

Run your piehole Doyel, run your piehole Kravitz, slur out a few unintelligible phrases Irsay, please, it's like gasoline and Brady is the pyro with the flamethrower. Let er rip douchebags. I'm loving it.

Several Yahoo writers have consistently tried to be fair through this mess. That doesn't mean they get every little bit right, but other media were like them, I think we'd be pretty satisfied.

Towards the end, the article brings up pick plays and spins it as a dirty tactic that is helping Brady and the Pats win.... like it's some new scheme cooked up by Belichick.

The sad thing is that there are those in the NFL smiling at what they have wrought, as if this is somehow a good thing. They have no idea the damage they have done to the NFL's brand, legacy and longevity.

If anyone with half brain would question this idiocy that has gotten way too bg, tell them about the 4th quarter of SB 49 when the Pats were down by 10 points and Brady went 13/15, 125 yards, 2 TD's against the greatest defense ever... and those were with closely monitored balls.

I know, i was dis-heartened after reading that section, he plays it like the pats have found a new way to skirt the rules even though most teams do the same thing, especially Denver.

Isn't that what coaches are supposed to do?? Find out ways to win within the rules.. exploit every loophole.

Well picks are illegal aren't they? What bothered me was that the writer made it sound like the patriots came up with the idea and are the only ones to do it.

No, they are not. Check out the other thread about them. Picks are legal (even with contact) within a yard of the line of scrimmage, and picks are legal without contact (or with contact without intent) anywhere. So no, picks are not illegal.

I disagree. Only scoring 30 points against Dallas strikes me as proof that Brady was cheating.

Given FrameGate and Greg Hardy's personal comments, I was fully expecting a minimum of 60

If the Patriots score anything less than 100 against Indianapolis I think we all just need to admit that Brady is guilty, as much as it pains me to say

In New England they are called pick plays and are flagged all of the time, in Denver the media have renamed them "Rub plays" these plays are legal.

I don't know....Brady may have everything a human being could want and need in a lifetime of human experience (and he's just getting going!) and proved his innocence and all, but really, does he have the stamp of NFL Integrity? I think not...

It doesn't matter. At this point, the they are addicted to the "hateraid" and will drink anything that tries to smear Brady and/or BB.

Interesting stuff from Peter King. I know he got it wrong in the beginning (and didn't correct himself for a long long time). I didn't want to start another deflategate thread so decided it made sense here. Even with King's actions, it is nice to see this written:

5. I think what I’ve thought all along about the PSI measurements of the footballs: The New England footballs from the AFC Championship Game may have been doctored. But how will we know for sure if we don’t see the measurements from similar games later in this season—games with weather conditions similar to that from the Jan. 18 Colts-Patriots game in Foxboro? And why would the NFL not want to publicize the data from games with the same approximate weather? There is only one conclusion to be drawn: That the league doesn’t want to be shown to have blown the Brady discipline (and the docking of two draft picks and $1 million from the Patriots) by prematurely whacking Brady and the team so hard.

6. I think, on the other hand, there are many things to criticize the commissioner of the NFL about this year and last. But I laugh when I see the critiques of Goodell on domestic violence, or the NFL giving Greg Hardy “only” four games. Goodell put Hardy out for 15 games last year (while being paid) and then suspended him for 10 games this year before it was reduced on appeal to four games. Depending how you look at it, Goodell has levied rulings to take Hardy off the field for 25 games, more than a season and a half. In the end, Hardy missed 19 games, and only four games without pay, which isn’t enough. I don’t see that as Goodell’s fault.

If the NFL is smart (pause for laughter), they will wait until the end of the half to measure the balls so they are closer to equilibrium and then publicize those results.
