But during his time in NFL purgatory (he missed most of the 2014 season) Hardy hooked up with rapper Ja Alan to make a video in which Hardy declares to his critics, "What you see is what you get. I'm just me, I'm just real, and that's what I do."

Right before Hardy spits his featured verse, a chorus of gunfire rings out. He then raps about women -- saying, "It'll be a cold day in hell before your girl tries to play me."

Interesting, considering Hardy's been under fire this week for several comments he made in which he objectified women (Gisele) and seemingly mocked his own court case by saying he plans to come out "guns blazing" when he returns to the field this week.

In a very short time his teammates will make sure they keep the ladies in their lives away from this scumbag......... I wish a tiny tiny piece of meteor falls on him and only him this weekend on live television.

I can see this thread turning into a racist ****storm based on this board's history of not wanting to understand black millenial culture (no offense to those not contributing to this).

That being said, hip hop is one of the most important things in my life, and Greg Hardy is terrible at it. The beat and other rapper suck too. You can rap about money, drugs, and guns and still be imaginative, but that is not the case here. He's also a terrible person, but we already knew that.

I'm pretty sure I heard Hardy rap a few lines about rolling weed and sipping lean, which in any other context would not be a big deal, but this is the NFL. Anyone think the NFL might hit him with a "random drug test" soon?

One last thing: most of you probably don't know this, but Revis has dabbled in rapping...I'm on my phone so finding the link would be too much work, but his stage name is "Mr Manhattan" and he's worked with Mac Miller (presumably because Pittsburgh). He isn't very good but it's an interesting contrast with this because I'm pretty sure Revis won't even swear in his raps.

$5 million, 9 months, 2 courts of law (so far), possibly heading to the Supreme Court........all about "more probably than not at least generally aware" of something that nature did the pressure in footballs...................................

I can think of a lot of guys who are terrible. Bernie Williams got nominated for a Latin Grammy for jazz and someone told me that Clint dempsey's rap video wasn't too bad

Goodell has seen to it that their are rules are in place to make sure players never damage the integrity of the game and he protects the shield at all times.

I think that was pretty clearly confirmed this week as the commish played ignorant to this guy as he continued to take aim at the guy that he feels is NFL enemy #1.

I don't see any attempt to manipulate race in this conversation. There's enough grounds to criticize Greg Hardy on his actions alone, without even considering this music video. But as the poster points out, we should be careful not to look at Greg Hardy as somehow representative of all young black men, or vilify the hip hop culture he participates in.

I'm not accusing you personally of doing that by any means....but I feel it's important to set the record straight, before people here make any ignorant remarks
