colts fans may be not so optimistic but I see a close game. They also are circling this game since jan and will play with a lot of emotion pride. Pats need to weather the storm and hope our secondary doesnt give up frustrating big plays.

Then the Jags and Texans lost to 40 year old Matt Hasselbeck, Jags were actually inventing ways to lose the game, the Colts without a doubt should of been 0-4 but somehow are 3-2, AFC South baby.

The good news is the Pats at least get to feast on this division this year.

It's official - the Texans can officially be referred to as the worst team in the NFL (at least right now). The good news for Houston is that in itself is quite a feat as the competition to be the worst is crowded and really starting to heat up!

For the Colts, wow, they have won three in a row. The Colts, specifically Grigson, must be feeling hope and buoyed spirits after a start that looked like the Colts were abysmal. I bet he feels: if they can just keep up the winning by scratching and clawing their way, or even a loss can be accepted provided as they are tough&competitive and hand in the game. Their three wins have been unimpressive and the competition was lesser....so his team's growing confidence is no doubt fragile. If he can get a solid well played win or two while avoiding those losses that make them look abysmal, it could really put them back on track as a legitimate playoff contender team. The big concern for Indy is if a team comes into Indy during this fragile time and trounces them/makes them look like a joke-crap team. IMHO their confidence will be shattered so bad it will likely cause a losing streak and cause their playoff hopes to fade greatly.
The good news for the Colts is this kind of loss is very unlikely given how poor the competition is. Chances are very good they won't have to face competition on prime time TV that is likely to grossly embarrass them, destroy their confidence, and probably cause a losing streak that will cause their playoff chances to fade A LOT.
So who do the Colts play next??

I agree that it will likely cost BOB his job, although that certainly doesn't mean that he is a lousy coach. That team right there basically sucks.

The decision to rotate two mediocre quarterbacks has proven to be a costly one. They obviously thought they could compete with a strong defense and running game. That isn't the case.

Poor Hoyer. Good game overall but had to throw the best Punt of the game in the last couple minutes.

As for Mallett, no one wants to be replaced during a game but if he wants to be a real leader, he's got to learn not to look like he's sulking in the sidelines. He's telling everyone he's in "I" mode instead of team first.

There are some guys who deserve to have their grave pissed on but I don't think Irsay qualifies. Didn't kill or rape anyone did he? No? Then keep it in your pants and don't make an ass of yourself.

Now his son on the other hand..... Him you can make more of a case for.

Irday was a prick, he pretty much fired his father from the family business.

Irsay took a team, that went to 5 world championships and won 3 in 13 years, hired a hitman GM, traded their HOF QB for a sack of footballs, overruled their coach's draft picks, traded their number one pick away before he ever played a down, shopped moving the team around and then lied about it while drunk in public. Fielded a team so bad, it was a tie game away from losing every game of the season. This was a team loved by Baltimore before Irsay took ownership. He ran that team into the ground. When he finally did move the team, he did it like a coward would, under cover of darkness. in his 27 years of ownership, they made the playoffs 6 times, going 1 and done in 5 of them....Cleveland fans feel the same way about Modell.....

I would actually say that it's 100% the coaching that is what is wrong with this team. There is a lot this team is being made to do that it can't. This is an one-gapping 4-3 defense that is being forced to be a two-gapping 3-4.

The offense also isn't tailored to the talent that Houston has on hand. It is rigid; on many runs I saw a zone blocking that couldn't seal off the aggressive one-gapping that the Colts defense does, being historically known as an undersized but speedy defense. They didn't really take advantage of the overpursuit that naturally occurs with an aggressive defense.

But most importantly, watching BOB's body language last night- I never saw him offer encouragement, never saw him being positive or reassuring. Even a little "don't worry, we'll get them next time," would have gone a long way. His body language screams "You're never good enough for me. You're going to screw something up, I guarantee it." It's almost as if he wants something to yell and scream at.

Consequently, the players are not having fun out there, they're not playing loose and they're definitely not relaxed. They're playing scared and uptight, playing not to lose.

Also BOB's handling of the QB situation is downright terrible. You can do no worst than say one thing and do another, and going back on your word. So now he's lost the trust of both quarterbacks who are now playing with the knowledge they could get yanked at any moment, so they're playing to avoid making a mistake, instead of playing to win.

Hassselback has outplayed the 'franchise' QB this year.

Dolts next 5 opponents Pats, Panthers, Saints, Falcons, Broncos, (4 of those teams are undefeated).
