Re: Breaking News - Marquise Hill in Lake Pontchartrain

Let's hope that they find him and he's OK.

Yes, he has been a disappointing player since the Patriots drafted him in the 2nd round. However, this is about life - not football.

If it was about life with you then that second paragraph would never have entered your mind......

Re: SERIOUS NEWS: Marquise Hill missing after jetski accident

Not for nothing, but he was going to get cut this offseason. This makes the defensive line depth chart easier to manage, and is good news for Kareem Brown.

Don't pretend that you all loved him. He was a second round bust, and the subject of many fat jokes on this board. We all knew what he was, and there is no use trying to re-write history. He sucked yesterday, and being dead today doesn't change that.

RIP Marquise Hill--maybe you'll do better in heaven's D-line rotation.

Imagine that TaxPlaya has died. No need for us to pretend we'll miss his postings -- he was a mean, heartless sonuva***** anyway. His lasting posting was despicable and classless. Guess he's incapable of separating football from humanity. The board is better off without him; it's good news for people who actually have a heart. He sucked yesterday, and being dead today doesn't change that.

Marquise Hill may not have been a hero on Sunday afternoons, but more importantly in the end, he WAS a HERO at life.

I have put people on my ignore list before. However, I've never advocated that other posters put some on their ignore list.

Let's make the POS dead to us. Hopefully he will get the click from Ian that will remove him from here forever. There are some people who just shouldn't be allow to associate with others.

Goodbye *******!

WTF? Take that back, you mean spirtited jerk.

I put that in so others may keep this situation in prospective. I really resent your implying otherwise.

My Ignore list is filling up today.

Re: SERIOUS NEWS: Marquise Hill missing after jetski accident

That is by far the worst post I have ever seen. I think many people would agree that you one-uped me on my rant on how "tight" Chad Jackson and Laurence Maroney were because their "pitch-black". But, for you to say that Hill's potential death makes room under the depth chart easier for other players is pretty sick. I could care less about how good/bad Hill is at football, but this is his life were talking about. I didn't love Hill, nor do I love any other Patriot on this team because I'm only a fan, nothing else. I pray he is still alive, this is aweful news.
message to everyone dont even reply to the post

RIP Mr. Hill. It's so tragic that I never realized the goodness in your heart until it stopped beating.

I'm not getting the EEI bashing on this one. They were on top of the story all day long.

Says who?

They mentioned it on every sportsflash, but the rest of the time was spent talking about if Brian Cashman or Joe Torre was responsible for the Yankees' problems.

Right....maybe you should keep your prospective to yourself........anyone who would state a persons performance in the same breath and hoping they arent alive shouldnt be given the gift of prospective...and any sane person who saw that quote would think the exact same thing that I thought....

So every thirty seconds they're supposed to say nope they haven't found him yet?

I think the word you BOTH are looking for is perspective, not prospective.

I'm not going to even comment on the nonsense I've seen here today, which apparently includes quite a few people who lack the ability to put a real "perspective" on things.

As a parent I can't even imagine what his parents must be going through. When I was younger shortly after I graduated high school I lost a good friend of mine who drowned that I knew from the time I was 8. I grew up with him and he lived three houses down from me on my street and we hung out nearly every afternoon after school along with with several other people who also lived on our street. I went over to visit his parents and his brother after it happened and this whole event brings back those memories....it's unbelievable. Their faces are thoroughly engrained in my memory and I'll never forget it. You should never outlive your kids, and I'm sure his parents and family are all in shock and pretty damn upset right now.

I'm sure that there are also some devastated players in that locker room who could give two s&*ts about how much playing time he had or whether or not he'd be on the roster for this year. They lost a friend, and his parents lost a son. I really hope any future posts are thought out a little more by a few people here before you click that "Submit" button.

Many posters saw it and didn't take it that way. Only your twisted mind took it that way.

Reply if you want,I won't see it- you are dead to me, goodbye.

I actually got the same thing out of his post that Patsnut said he meant.

Why don't you both just forget about it. Is it really worth fighting over, today of all days?

Re: SERIOUS NEWS: Marquise Hill missing after jetski accident

ok, as you all know, I am a devout Christian. In fact, I have sometimes gone too far perhaps in making that known.
But I have to say something in response to this post. I know it will be a sin to say it. I will probably regret it, and I will rely on the relationship I have nurtured with my Lord and ask for his forgiveness afterwards. And I believe He will forgive me because of my steady faith in Him and in the fact that in this case I am positive that He will agree with me.

Taxplaya, you are a ******* *******!!!!!!!!

On a heart breaking day you made me smile, thanks friend.

So every thirty seconds they're supposed to say nope they haven't found him yet?

They could at least acknowledge the breaking news. I turned 'EEI on THREE TIMES after the WWLTV story that his body was found broke - over a span of maybe 20-30 minutes - and each time I shut it off immediately after hearing "Oden" or "Cashman" or "Clemens."
