OMG..that is just terrible. Unfortunately, he didn't survive. The tides are high right now and we have been under warnings to use caution on the lakes and the GOM this holiday weekend as there is a fairly stiff push of the water from SE to NW. I'm sorry about the loss for your team and my prayers to his family. They are on the TV live right now on WWL-TV. He has passed.

im at a loss of words. i cant believe it. a young man who fulfilled his dreams of making it to NFL..a role model to the community. Why do bad things happen to the innocent..the good...the good people of the world.

a heroic effort by Marquise to save a fellow friend while risking his life. May god be with the friends..family..teammates and fans of Marquise Hill.

Here's a link from our local paper in New Orleans....this guy was awesome. He got a national championship with LSU and a Superbowl ring with the Patriots and he was only 24. What a tragic end:

That's for damn sure! He has more courage than I will ever have. I'm the same age as Hill and it saddens me when I hear people dying at such a young age or any age for that matter. God bless him and his family.
