A thanks to the moderators

So recently I have tried posting on a chargers fan forum (bolttalk.com) and am repeatedly getting banned which really mad me think......the mods on here are really very lenient and have a sense of humor......so I know Ive been a little bit of a pain so I want to say thanks....at least for not banning me and to Ian (thats the chiefs name right???) thanks for having such a great site to come on and post on.....

You guys can delete this after you read it.......I couldnt find an email address so I did my thanks this way


by the way...the reason I got banned from bolttalk.com was my name....BendOverMerriman........is that so wrong?? I really only ment it as a joke....would that have gotten me kicked here??

I'll agree with the tone of this post.

Mods here generally don't come off as "holier-than-thou", despite their authority. They dig in just like the grunts, often with humor and self-deprication. They most often serve as an example many would be wise to replicate, IMO.

If you had used bendoverbrady, it certainly would of shown poor judgment. It may of been a joke to you, but not so much to them. I always find when visiting other boards, walk softly for a while, get the lay of the land, and once the ppl there know that your not a troll, you can hurl some smack.

I post over there quite a bit, especially when they are talking about the Pats... I was banned temp when they lost to us in the playoffs, but since then, I've been able to post... I guess they thought I was going to rub that loss in their faces, when all I was going to say, Good game...

Well, just so that you know, moderator privileges on boards copy your IP address for every post and they can quickly see if you've posted under different ids and under different IP addresses so if you keep getting banned, it's probably because your old "banned" names show up when they browse the board.

Unless you work for an IT company, and can get all kinds of IP's :rocker:

You don't have to work for an IT company. There are all kinds of proxy servers out there. It's also pretty easy to ban entire subnets too.
