The PI on Chung was complete BS.. You can't call Defensive PI when the OFFENSIVE player is initiating the contact..

I agree with the announcers, who basically said it was a bogus call that will get made every time even so.

Yep. The Steelers missed two FGs, blew a TD reception into a FG, and turned first-and-goal from the 1 into a FG.

And the final margin was only 7 points.. Even though that was artificially narrowed by the game situation, the fact remains that they left 14 points on the board that they really should have gotten.

Yeah, I think the Pats made fewer mistakes - but this should have really been Pittsburgh's game.

The Pats still have a long way to go before they reach midseason form

Well now that radio gate has been smashes by the league statement hopefully, this was a big win for the Pats because it was against an AFC contender can be huge for seeding down the line

I said earlier that Gronk could not win an MVP since he's a TE.

A few more games like this and I will eat my words...

Edelman with a money quote after the game. A reporter asks him if Brady seemed "extra motivated" tonight, Jules responds:

"Yeah, I mean Tom is always motivated. I played him in a game of corn hole this summer... He missed a shot, and he damn near took my head off. I said 'man Tom, why are you so motivated at this!'"

If JJ Watt couldn't win the MVP last year with the season he had Gronk will NEED to put up stats every week like he did tonight.

What a start. Electric...loved it

I used to love Chris Collinsworth. Now I want to rip his head off he can't shut up about non-football rumours wrt the Patriots.

Agreed, Gruden/Tirico is one of the only crews I like

Too bad they work for ESPN and might have some pro-NFL lines fed through their headsets during the Pats' Monday Night game(s) this year

Some things good , others great for 1st game, and PAts usually start slow.

Not sure what Bolden is good for except special teams . He looked like slo mo

The media predicted that the offensive would have little problem with the defenses. And, this was indeed the case. We won because PITT were awful in time management, missed field goals, and made mistakes in the red zone.

So, yes, our offense was better than theirs, but not by much.

It's definitely a coach's win. We come out with the important first W, but BB has plenty to criticize in the film room. I feel that the defense stepped up big time in the red zone. The Pats also executed very well scoring TDs instead of FGs in the red zone, that was the big difference in the game.

The TD to Brown in garbage time was a let down, but looking at the replay, Butler had perfect position, he just flubbed/mistimed the swat when the ball got into his area. Maybe he's just not used to the velocity/power that Ben throws the ball with? I feel that if he can combine that great positioning with improved timing to deflect/intercept the ball he could really mature into that #1 corner role.

Aaron Dobson caught a pass!

Bolden runs like how a duck walks

Hightower is incredible and might be too expensive to sign in the near future

Gost is one of the best draft NE picks over the last 10 years. We take this guy for granted around here. Those 33yd extra points are gonna be really exciting to watch for alot of kickers..especially for guys like Scobee

Gronk is not a top 5 player...he's top 3. Watt, Brady/Rodgers, Gronk are mine

5 rushes, 1 yd.
1 reception for 12 yds.

My major gripe is the db play.

Bill can start his critique by calling out the db's in the film room. They're right there in coverage, i mean RIGHT THERE but they either whiff on the ball, don't look back and get flagged on interference or they don't knock the ball out. That was the most frustrating thing to watch tonight. But we won, i'll take it. Time to go to bed.
The encouraging thing is that they were "right there" on many occasions. Most QB's we'll face will not be as accurate as Roethlisberger.
