Game Day Thread The Official Patriots vs. Steelers : GAME DAY THREAD 2015 Week 1 (9/10)

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

One caveat to keep in mind tonight. Antonio Brown is the best WR in the NFL, has the longest 7+ reception streak in NFL history, and maybe the best route runner since prime Welker/Marvin Harrison. If Butler gets beat, please no overreactions. Brown tears Joe Haden apart.

With that said, go pats, and time to start another FU tour!

Hey Matt Patricia, please double- or triple- cover that son of *****!

Can't wait to see the new and improved pass rush.

I don't think the pass rush will improve significantly from the edge: Sheard won't be a huge upgrade numbers wise over Nink, but it's the combination of Easley, Collins, Hightower bringing pressure up the middle that gets my blood flowing.

I have class until 9:30 and won't be home until 10:30.

Setting DVR for banner drop and will be watching 1st quarter while you guys are probably in the third.

I graduated long ago, but I would have certainly skipped class for this game.

Priorities.

You realize it's the game thread , right? Butler gets beat people will go as far to say that the Pats will go no where this season and BB needs to be fired for letting Revis and Browner go.

Oh you bet. Funny because I'm not sure how Revis would fare 1 v 1 vs Brown. The guy is unreal.

Butler will be on Brown like white on rice.

0 tds. 3 rec for 32 yards. 3 pass breakups. int by McCourty for good measure

!! ALL ABOARD THE BUTLER TRAIN !!

Butler will get the better of him. Just watch.

if antonio brown goes off then thats on BB...let someone else beat us.
not as optimistic as everyone else..this team isnt as good as the 07 team. so i dont expect all of these blow outs..

You will find a photo like that with every single ref and official in the league.

Did you think I based my post on that picture? I was just using that as a visual aid.

weather may effect most of the passing game

Yeah but you're never optimistic.

Anything can happen obviously but as long as we play as we should then we will win. We are a better team than Pittsburgh especially with some of the key players they have out tonight. Unless you anticipate our guys to stink it up on opening night there is no reason we should not win this game.

I'm in a similar boat. I have class until 9 and I absolutely can't skip (missed last week due to work). I'm praying the teacher lets us out early, otherwise I might have to take an extended "bathroom break" around 8:25, hehehe. Lucky for me my class is downtown Manchester and there's a good sports bar (with great draft beer options) across the parking lot! I'll have to run back into class just before 9 to grab my books and make a quick "I have digestive issues, sorry" excuse and run back!

I prefer another term I saw, "The Butler's Quarters"

I wonder which coach will be critized completely irrationally first today. As usual, the "odds-on favorite" is McD. Although Boyer and Guge shouldnt be far behind.

"Dont care, cant stand it" trophy wants to be claimed..

I would think they'd but Brown on Brown with McCourty over the top?
