Minihate asked him repeatedly about if Mort did a good job and he kept saying that Mort is his colleague and friend and a great journalist and that he'd never criticize a coworker at ESPN.

Then hee compared ESPN reporters to teammates on a football team.

BTW, sal Pal (incredibly enough) has a book signing at the hall at Patriot Place today at 12:30pm.

Don't buy his book but stand within shouting distance and give him a piece of your mind about Mort and how ESPN is treating Reiss.

I have a coworker whose work I don't respect, and I never talk crap about him in public, it would be unprofessional. But smart people read between the lines of what I say, just like we can obviously do here.

I don't get this line of questioning from these guys. I get the anger at Mortenson but I think they should stay focused on Palantonio's lousy job of reporting on this and his networks role in spreading lies for the NFL. They have plenty to work with and none of these guys are going to criticize Mortenson.

ESPN's irresponsible reporting is becoming a bigger and bigger story. They have deep-pocketed competitors who would love to discredit their reporting and their star reporter-analysts. NBC and Fox would love to displace those guys and get their ad revenues.

WEEI's courage in firing live bullets at Sal Paolantonio is admirable. I despise that show, by the way. I can't stand the bickering and nastiness, and the way they demean their staff, women, and one another. But taking on ESPN for its un-sourced and innacurate reporting is exactly what these arrogant national reporters deserve.

It's worth one or two questions to bring home the point that Mortenseon is indefensible but then, yes, expand the the discussion as you suggest; make ESPN as an organization the issue.

people should say Free Reiss

Yes!

Embarrass ESPN on national TV tonight (I know, it's on NBC - - but they will still have audio).

"Free Mike Reiss!!!" could very well get national attention on ESPN-NFL's crooked media campaign!

El Pres stalked him at the pro shop where he was signing his book and gave him he'll for 5 minutes. No security to save him this time. Video will be on Barstool shortly. He went on Zo and Bertrand first. It's sounds hilarious.

El Prez also said if Reiss quits ESPN he has a job waiting for him at Barstool!

According to Zolak and Bertram Sal Pal is being trolled by Patriot fans asking him about Mort.

I thought they were over the top ... stupid even.

Fine to question Sal ... but they were in full attack mode which was useless.

I think trying to get a chant with the dozen people in the pro shop going would have been more entertaining. That was a bit of a let down to be honest.

I laughed hysterically when El Prez took the pic for the guy in front of him!
