Any wide out we pick up is going to be a future project unless it's a really smart vet or someone who's played here before like Thompkins. Doubt anyone can learn the offense and contribute before LaFell gets healthy.

Wow. I wonder if the Pats bring in Grant or Jean-Baptiste.

Wow Steelers just waived CB Doran Grant. 4th Round pick #121 overall. He becomes the highest cut draft pick form 2015.

Ridley on reserve PUP ............

Montee Ball cut, decent runner but can't hang onto the ball if I'm thinking of the right guy.

Pats worked out both Lewis and McBride pre draft so there's no shortage of knowledge on both.

This coupled with the fact that they just resigned Tompkins to the practice squad, will make me really angry if at least one of the two aren't signed to the PS. Common, Thompkins? A 27 year old, 3 year NFL dud who has had more then enough chances to shine, yet has never really showed up, over two fresh 22 year old rookies with tons of upside & special teams skills.

I know everyone is always saying "in bill we trust" but its **** like this that makes me question him.....
Yeah- his mismanagement of PS players has really killed the franchise over the past 14 years.

Just because you're successful, it shouldn't mean you don't have room to improve.
Not to mention, its called the "practice squad" for a reason. We don't have not 1, big bodied, tall WR our team can use to emulate other big receivers. Anyone remember Chris Matthews? Just because we won the SB shouldn't make us forget the fact that the only reason we were even close to losing was the that some of our players were clueless on how to handle tall Wr's. Luckily we had Browner that day. Im fairly positive if we didn't, we wouldn't be raising that banner come Thursday.

I think that's a little harsh but I'd like to see BB swing for the fences a little more than he does with upside prospects. I'll say this though, while I wasn't enamoured with the 2015 draft at the time, I'm starting to think this will be one of his best. I don't think there's a Gronk, Collins or (hopefully) Easley, but Brown, Richards, Flowers, Mason, Roberts will all be capable starters or quality depth players. I'm a little less sure about Grissom and Jackson but think even they could work out.

Cowboys trading for Christine Michael according to Twitter.

I could run behind that line. The cowboys should be a serious contender this season. That is probably the best OL football has seen since their dynasty OL of the 90's.

For sure Manx. So far, I'm really happy with the results of the draft. I think it was a draft where they looked at the talent on the roster, and the future cap management, and drafted on depth and the possibility of replacing certain players. I still don't agree on some of the timing of certain selection (richards) but I'm content with the selections. I didn't have to many true "binkys" besides Smelter and McBride, and now one of them is a FA. Maybe thats why I'm so sensitive about this PS singing subject. Oh, i would've also liked them to take a player like Micheal Bennet over a player like Wells,s olely for the reason of backing up Easly. Other then that, I really like the draft so far.

Did you watch any of their pre-season games? The whole "anyone can run behind that line" argument, was proven somewhat invalid. Although their RB roster wasn't horrible, it was evident that D.Murry had at least somewhat to do with last years running success. Hints the reason for the trade....

Imagine if they had actually gotten Peterson...

Pushhhhhhh. We would've seen at least 10 safeties and LB's with broken necks or ankles this season. The last thing anyone defensive player in this league wants is meeting AP in the open field with a average of 5 yards before the possibility of contact. lol

I really liked McBride but I could see why he might not have succeeded in the NFL but Smelter was different. Aside from the injury, I really felt like Smelter was going to be a star.

Man, just looking at that draft again, Mason, Smelter, Hardison, Jarrett and Heeney all went within 10 picks of each other. TJ Clemmings also went in the 4th round and Paul Dawson with the last pick of the 3rd. I'd have been thrilled with that draft and none of them went higher than 99. Oh well, one has to move on from one's binkies eventually (as hard as it is).

two other players who i think would be great candidates for the PS are Vince Mayle & Eric Lora. I wasn't super high on Mayle this year, but he's pretty raw and offers some upside. Lora on the other hand, I always felt was an PERFECT fit with the patriots. He reminds me soon much of Edelman and has almost identical pro-day results He would be a perfect player to grow into backup role for him.. Also he has and almost Brady-Edelman Bromance connection with Jimmy.G. He's a great fit with this team in my opinion.
