I'll give my response later.

tyms +boyce?

Ha ha. Didn't think people would take this seriously, but our 4th is available right now

Not me. That is for sure.

hopefully we can just get through 5 weeks w/o injuries at the position, but you never know

Thompkins who only played 2 games before being released and Tyms I think, which goes to show you how many targets our 4 and 5th receivers get. Edelman, LaFell and Amendola were the top 3 WRs. Gronk TE and Vereen 3rd down RB were the other top receiving targets.

Is it really Thompkins? LOL. Give the man a SuperBowl ring

Bingo. and that's my point. Only a 3 catch difference between 4th and 6th WR.

I'm going total catches. It can be looked up.
By position or the formation in the offense?

I'm not going to where you want to take this discussion on purpose.

I'll include slot receivers if you want to get semantical. No RBs or TEs.

So, you don't like the thread itself. OK. Do you think we have worse receiving options among 3rd down RBs and TEs this year than last?

We also have to bear in mind that our #2 TE is now a viable target, not a guy who just....uh.....does whatever Hooman does.

The loss of Gibson really pisses me off now though. I kind of blew it off as no big deal at the time. He would've done well.

Boyce, Tyms, Dobson, Thomkins....all varied.

Wright had more targets than all of them combined and hardly ever lined up tight with the tackle. Hell he hardly saw the ball except a handful of times a month.

The point is...who gives a damn? The 5th WR and even the 4th WR is almost irrelevant in this offense.

Is that what you intended to surface in this discussion?
