BB Admits What We All Know...

Looking back, the 2013 AFCCG may have been the most unfair game between Brady v Manning in their careers.

Logan Ryan on Eric Decker. Alfonzo Dennard on Demaryius Thomas. Young Siliga/rookie Chris Jones clogging the middle.

And then of course, no Gronk. Brady's weapons consisted of Edelman, useless post-groin Amendola, Collie, one legged Dobson, and Hooman.

That game shouldn't have been allowed to be played. Two fringe NFL talents covering the best WR duo in the NFL. Gronk gets us over the hump in 2011-2012, but I'm not sure we pull that one off with him. Maybe we keep it close in a shootout.

I did some math once that with a healthy Gronk the Pats score 5 more points a game and allow 2 less.

Clearly BB knows this.

Very surprised he said it. I totally believe it though.

I've always believed Gronk was a difference maker, but he has shown to be even more valuable than I had ever thought. Truth is : even is that Gronk is one of those "once in a lifetime transcendent players" that is MORE than worth the 2nd rounder even if he is injured (please no, please no) half of his career. Because when he is out there - the team is not the same. Opponents fear him. He changes the game plan on both sides.

Yep. More points, more first downs, more yards and more time of possession.

I don't want him to retire but when he does, I want him to write a book. I'll be first in line to get it. From leaving the Jests, to Bledsoe to Lawyer Malloy, Logan Mankins , Ron Borges, all the SB's and all the off-field stuff etc. I want the unvarnished truth. I can handle the truth.

Ordinary men are no match for certain forces of nature. A tsunami. A tornado. A hurricane.......the Gronk. BB understands that Rob Gronkowski is the greatest X-factor in the NFL this decade. Not only is Gronk an unstoppable force, his contract is the second greatest bargain in the league behind Tom Brady's.

I am actually surprised to see him say that. I guess it just speaks to how much of a massive impact Gronk makes on the offense... I think that's a huge reason they snatched up Chandler: when Gronk went down, they had no one remotely similar to him and had to retool everything. At least now (god forbid) if anything happened to Gronk, Chandler can be a reasonably talented facsimile.

That Belichick guy must read Patsfans.com...

Not only that but touching on Kensil, Goody, Spygate and what he really thinks of people.

That would be worth the money for the book alone.

I was in Gillette during the AFCCG victory over the Ravens when Pollard twisted Gronk's ankle.

With everyone on the podium celebrating yet another trip to the Super Bowl, I had a sick feeling, nausea because of Gronk. I'm sure a lot of people were very happy but not really feeling good about Gronk's health.

The 2011 and 2012 teams would have both won the Super Bowl with a healthy Gronk (2011 in spite of Eli completing all but 10 of his passes). 2013? Not so sure. After Talib sprained his vagina, we were outgunned and there was really nothing to speak of at WR outside of Edelman. Also Wendell getting his **** pushed in by Knighton didn't help matters either.

Not just a book he should write an entire encyclopedia.

LOL, I can't believe I forgot Spygate.
