Why is is that ESPN suspended Schilling but not Carter? Schilling made a somewhat, but not egregiously so, outrageous political comment (with which I don't agree) while Carter urged NFL rookies to suborn justice.

Here's the deal. His reporting of Minirat's incident was twisted to create a firestorm. He edited the "I'm just joking" out of the posted video and only used partial quotes which , to me, is just stretching the truth to further his "I hate Minirat" agenda instead of just reporting an incident etc...

I am no fan of minirat but what he said that day was obviously a joke done in poor taste.

I can play Hubbuch's game too.

However, adding "Hahaha just kidding" after saying what Minihane said, doesn't make it ok in my book. Maybe it does in yours.

From Berman's decision: "We accept the facts as the arbitrator found them." So he agrees Brady cheated but let him off on technicalities.

You just can't argue with someone with that type of mental handicap. He even tried to back off it later and say he was joking, but he wasn't.

The mainstream media reminds me of the saying, "the village idiot".

Only let me take this sideways. People of a similar opinion don't understand the behavior of the 1 and thus the idiot part is based on a fundamental understanding that we as the group are doing it right and the one who doesn't or who we don't agree with is in the wrong. Thus the they are considered the idiot.

BUT, what happens if the village is full of idiots and they are singling out the one person who is actually making sense. The merits of the argument re tossed out because they can't get past the you disagree with all of us, and how can all of us be wrong.

I think, that's my perspective on the narrative of the mainstream media, they are a village of idiots (though in respect, they aren't, it's the people who allow their opinions to be based solely on their headlines and don't dig deep enough to make a meaningful decision for themselves).
