I know that. YOU know that, but go look at the comments over at PFT posting on Brady's win. We are still in the minority.

I've ALWAYS said that this was just a step on the path and NOT the end of it. Lots of work to do, Ivan. No time to relax. So, let's be very Pat's-like, and enjoy the win, but remember it wasn't the end of the season and "we're on to redemption and retribution".
Agree. I was listening to radio here and Alex Marvez from fox was on. He said" Remember this doesnt exonerate brady!" Then the hosts after ripping the league , say this means pats can continue to cheat and brady can continue to cheat.

Can go after the picks now?

Heh. ESPN now has a reporter who is talking about the status of Roger Goodell's contract...and, of course, saying that he's not in trouble.

Kossach is straight up lying on ESPN. He's claiming that since Berman read an imaginary standard of fairness into the CBA, he's likely to be overturned on appeal. Fundamental fairness isn't something that he read into this specific CBA. It's something that legally must be a part of every arbitration process.

Since Kossach is a lawyer, I can only assume that he isn't really that ignorant, and instead he's lying for the purpose of spin.

Oh he's definitely been told by his bosses to spin it in a way that the nfl would win on appeal and he is grasping at straws.

NFLPA statement...

"This decision should prove, once and for all, that our Collective Bargaining Agreement does not grant this Commissioner the authority to be unfair, arbitrary and misleading. While the CBA grants the person who occupies the position of Commissioner the ability to judiciously and fairly exercise the designated power of that position, the union did not agree to attempts to unfairly, illegally exercise that power, contrary to what the NFL has repeatedly and wrongfully claimed."

zing ...

Some guy on ESPN is saying that his sources tell him the NFL will appeal, but probably won't seek an injunction to keep him from playing right away.
That injunction request would be quashed so quickly it would be like hammering the head of a nail that's already driven all the way in. There would be irreparable harm to Brady but none to the NFL.

I'm switching between radio, ESPN and the NFL Network, and regardless of whether the personalities love the outcome or hate the outcome, they are all universally blasting goodell as totally fing this up.

They also think that goodell probably survives this but is going to have to do some housekeeping with some of his underlings

Heh. ESPN now has a reporter who is talking about the status of Roger Goodell's contract...and, of course, saying that he's not in trouble.

Though they then follow it up with a graphic showing all the cases Goodell has lost. Interesting...

Well, CHB is an ass, but on this occasion, I agree with him.
You and i may agree with him on THIS point. But thats not the point. The point is now that he looks like an idiot for the bs hes been writing, and found himself on the losing side. Hes trying to do damage control by writing a pro patriots piece.

They're also saying that the NFL will definitely appeal but won't fight to keep Brady off the field during the process

So, I read the Berman decision. I found that Berman was actually nice to the Commissioner by not confirming the following:

"Brady also argues that "prior to serving as hearing officer, the Commissioner publicly lauded the reliability of the Wells Report [which was conducted by NFL retained counsel]- the issue at the very heart of Brady's appeal." This "locked him into supporting the Wells Report and rendered him incapable of reaching a contrary conclusion in Brady's appeal, as doing so would undermine his own competency as Commissioner"

Berman showed that in court, imho..
