The only way that throw was anything but bad is if the route was supposed to be a curl rather than a post. Aside from the fact that welker was all by himself, ya its almost similar.

Watch the play in its entirety. Look at how much room Dobson has in front of him as the safety had crept too far forward to make an impact on the play, should have been a touchdown. Of course if the throw had been better, that sack of **** Dobson would have dropped it anyway. *******.

And here we have a perfect example of the "Welker" side of things, where 99% of reality is spun on its head in order to defend an obviously ****ty play by the receiver.

The ball placement was acceptable, though not perfect, and good enough that the receiver should have made the play.

Welker should have made that catch. Welker was also not hit or had a DB wrapped around him during that catch attempt. Not comparable with Dobson at all.

Thought Dobson showed something the other night wish he didn't *double catch* that ball. That was the only reason why Tillman was able to make a play. That said I loved his workload which nobody talked about his surgical foot looked good and his hammy seems healed. Love Dobson's upside going forward would love to see him get alot of work also Thursday it will only help him.

Yes, they are comparable. And most people here were originally insistent that Brady was the one who screwed up the Welker drop, because the throw wasn't perfect. Just like the Dobson play, it was just assumed that any throw Brady made that wasn't dead on was, therefore, a bad throw.

Can confirm this is true. I successfully photoshopped Tillman out of the play and moved the safety 15 yards closer where he could actually be a factor. The plays look almost identical now and the throw ain't half bad.

You're problem is assuming that the place that the ball lands on a deep throw is up to the QB alone. When the receiver covers 10 yards from when the ball is thrown, Dobson could have put the ball on either shoulder. But he just needs to get under it, which he did. And he still f***** it up. And he was running on the numbers when the ball was thrown. Asserting the ball needed to be further to the right when Dobson ran to the right doesn't make sense. If he'd ran a shallower angle or continued on the numbers the ball would have been to the right of him.

Yup, you've figured us out, we secretly know Dobson is awesome but don't want awesome players. Don't tell anyone. Normally everyone says when a ball hits you in the hands it's impossible to catch. Unless your the DB next to them, but for some reason everyone is piling on poor old Dobson.

I've watched this play now and find this thread assinine.
Could Dobson have made the catch? Of course he could. Does not making that one catch doom him as a failure? Of course not. Similar type plays happen to every WR. To question his manhood, commitment, love of football and so forth because the defender wrestled the ball away from him is moronic.
