OT: Favre asked to be traded

If Brett wants out of Green Bay, it's pretty simple. Just retire and go away. I doubt that he has much trade value.

The denial Packer fans are in about this guy is sad to read.

Gee, once again Brett Favre is front and center in the media. What a tool.

Arena league? Bwahahaha

He is such a prima donna and attention whore. Go away Brett.

And according to the NFLPA website Favre has a base salary of 11 million dollars this year. If the Packers are paying that much that washed up interception machine then they should be the ones trying to get rid of him, not the other way around.

And I absolutely love Brady but if he ever pulls this crap at the end of his career I will be the first to call him out on it. Packers fans acting like he is some Godly figure who can do no wrong is not helping the situation.

There's really only one place he could start right now and it happens to be the team that I live and die by. I would rather have Trent Green but it would be inetersting to see him break Marino's record in aqua and orange.

In that case, King Brett is worth your #1 and #2 in 2008 and your #1 in 2009. Considering how many #2 picks the Dolphins have traded for failed QBs, that is a reasonable deal.

If Favre was traded to the Dolphins I would do a dance on my chair.

I would be pissed if that happened. I actually like and respect Brett Favre and it really wouldnt be the same if he wasnt playing the Packer yellow and green.

I thought this was a good comment by one of the posters:

"favre has been holding the entire packer organization hostage for a couple of years now. because he's put on a god-like pedestal by everyone in wisconsin, there's no "tactful" way for the team to move on and rebuild without him. he's become the giant white elephant in the room that mccarthy and thompson have no clue how to deal with in a way that won't piss favre off or the fans."

Too many of the other posters seem to think that the sun shines out of Favre's arse.

You and the New England Secondary would be dancing. That just might get Asante to re-sign knowing he'd probably have another big year.

Kudos for the Packers to finally not to cater to every one of Brett Favre's needs. Granted according to Favre, they could have signed Moss for less than the Pats paid and Michael Holley said that probably all Moss was looking for was $3 million guaranteed from another team to get out of Oakland. I think Moss would have helped the Packers more than the Pats since Favre is a gunslinger and Moss probably fits in better in an offense with a gunslinger.

I wouldn't want Favre to sign with the fins, he deserves to play on a team that has some shot at winning. Everyone thinks he's lost it when he's been playing on terrible teams for years....he's not TB, but he's a great QB and he would def make the fins much better while their rook qb can watch him for a year.....retire brett

Brett would have no trade value.

I'm sure Brett was just disappointed that the team was not on the same page as him in terms of making one final serious run for a championship with him at the helm.

Hate to say it, but in the media whore category Favre = Owens, and Owens may have an insanity defense. It's a real shame what's become of this guy over the past few years.

Brett has always been first and formost all about himself. The ole gunslinger can't hit the water when he's in a boat. He's all washed up and an ahole to boot.
