Is there video of Joe Thomas stomping a defenseless player's head during a football game?

If there is, and if Joe Thomas shot a gun at someone even in self defense, I think it's a pretty safe bet that both issues would be conflated by the media under the "character" banner.

I know that we're a very very sensitive bunch whenever someone is perceived to be "attacking" one of our beloved patriots or our coach. But it goes too far in my opinion to claim that when it happens it must be racism.

No one said it must be racism. It was a question that was posed, and it is a valid one. The fact is if a young black athlete has a LEGAL gun he is called a thug. Even if the facts say otherwise. I have seen countless media people say this kid has a "gun charge", making it seem as though he did something illegal with a hand gun. That is simply not true. No, I do not think if this situation involved Joe Thomas anyone would call him a thug.

Two words RICKY WILLIAMS. Ob what the kid did was stupid. He got caught up in a brawl. He then too full responsibility for his actions. He had no prior history of violence or fighting. That means the kid made a mistake. By the media's logic the first time a person screws up at anything in life they should be labeled as bad person. We all know the media is full of perfect angels. What is wrong with that? HE HAS A LISCENSE TO CARRY A FIREARM. He saw a suspicious car lurking outside his home at 5am. He went outside to investigate and someone jumped out and SHOT HIS ROOMATE.

He did nothing illegal. Worry about your own colts players who beat their wives, carry ILLEGAL guns and get busted for drinking and driving. The Miami dade police concluded Meriweather did not do anything illegal!!!!! Get over it, you are grasping at straws.

You better believe if a car was parked outside of my home very late at night I would bring my handgun when investigating the situation. What would have happened if Meriweather did not have his LEGAL handgun? He may have been shot and killed. His roommate might not have made it. He brought his LEGAL handgun in case the situation got dangerous. Oh wait, it did the assailant jumped out and shot his roommate! Stop trying to make this into something it is not.
