He's not even the best player drafted by the Patriots from Texas. That would be Kenneth Sims, another DT from the Longhorns, drafted in the first round by the Patriots in 1982. Let's hope Brown plays better than Ken. Some of us remember him playing well only in his contract year.

He was kind of a jerk ["gameday"] but he wasn't abad player. He just wasn't that good. He was a Ty warren when he should have been a Seymour or Wilfork [or Antwine]. Not close to #1 overall material. I bet Brown is better.

I still remember the Texas D end Kenneth Sims who bombed, though I don't think he said anything like this. But wasn't he a number one overall? I do think there were some injury issues (it was a long time ago), but still. . ..
