Loading up on pricey free agents led by a mediocrity at QB usually translates into disappointment (like the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles "dream team"). This signing spree does Not matter, this is the jest. It doesn't matter who they bring in be it a player or coach in the end the dysfunction seeps in and takes over and the jest crash and burn. Its part of a cosmic dynamic.

Nothing crazy, just something like Matt Snell's TD run from the 4. The problem was Namath was in no condition to handle his responsibilities on that play (take the snap and hand the ball off), so they had to scrap the whole idea. I don't know who thought having him do a live interview was a good choice.

Actually, I think they did run the commemorative play. I was sitting in the corner end zone and distinctly recall Namath huddling with his old mates. He was very animated.
