What is cap situation today

So Reiss has a breakdown of McCourty's contract (5 years etc). But the following line is somewhat strange:

Signing bonus: $15 million ($5 million deferred to March 31, 2016)

So does that mean that
A) $10 mil is spread over 5 years as of today. Then on March 31, 2016 the remaining 5 million gets spread out for the remaining 4 years. Or
B) Is it still just $15 million spread out for 5 years?

The difference would be around $1 million off this year's cap.

It is still $15 million spread out across 5 years. All it does is allow the Patriots to defer the actual cash payment of part of the bonus later in the contract. FYI, this does not affect cash spent by the Patriots in the NFL's eyes. I actually tweeted with Miguel to confirm this.

So what's the cap situation NOW without revis and browner?

The Patriots have work to do in house, IMO. They need more cap room.

There are about nine moves available that total over $25M. Obviously, they won't all be done.

What might be interesting is the first $21M of AAV used, the annual cost of Revis and Browner.

Seriously? I thought they'd have a lot more than that without Revis

Me too. If you look at Miguel's cap page you will see that there a few players with high cap numbers, and they did sign McCourty.
