March madness: There's a bidding war for a quarterback the Browns didn't want.

Hoyer, Mallett, and O'Brien in Houston should be really interesting to see. Meanwhile, Jets fans are hoping this means they get Fitzpatrick. My goodness, it must be miserable to cheer for a team where Ryan Fitzpatrick is the best case scenario.

Now I wonder...If the Hammah makes every start for Houston next year, does that fufill the condition of the Pats trade to up the pick to a 6th rounder?

The condition was that Mallett would make more than half of Houston's starts, he started 2 games last year, so if he starts all of them next year, he would have made more than half by the time the pick is due. Or was the condition based solely on the 2014 season?

Either way, a good move by BOB, he brings in two guys, who already know the system and will compete for the job. Houston scares me, that is one helluva of defense. Especially with a healthy Clowney.

I'm pretty sure it was just for the 2014 season, so they get a 7th. That contract he just got looks like that of a player more valuable than a 7th, but I guess the awesomeness of Garoppolo ruined the Pats' leverage. Oh well, I guess there are bigger problems than having a backup QB that turns out to be surprisingly good.

Johnson needs to understand he is no longer a number one wr. I think he has more in the tank then reggie wayne. I would chase the ring but he could still have big money dreams in his head.

Maclin $11 million/year with Chiefs

LMAO

Wow, that's some serious coin. That's more than Edelman, amendola and Lafell are making COMBINED lol.. God I love me some BB

This will be the closest we will be to the fantasy of Andre or Fitz playing with Brady.

His age, playing time demands, and desire to play with a great QB will lower his price. He still has 1-2 good/great years left like Boldin in San Fran.

It will be so hard to get him under cap with Revis, but dang....

With Cobb resigning in GB:

Pats
Colts
Seahawks
Chargers?

potential suitors that fit all requirements

I wonder if the Patriots will pull the trigger on the 12 mil bonus at 4 PM if a long term
agreement is not reached? Otherwise, prices may go ballistic.

Chiefs had no TDs from Wide Receivers last year. I still can't believe that that is possible especially in today's Pass Happy League but there it is. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Johnson, PLEASE take a 1 year deal with the Pats

Heavens. Maclin is a terrific receiver, but there's a ton of receiving talent in the NFL. I'd take McCourty over Maclin straight up.

Down year for FA WRs, the Chiefs are going to cut Bowe, the rest of the Chiefs WR corps is absolute garbage, and Reid knows Maclin can thrive in his system..

It's a good move for the Chiefs. They'll probably look for another FA WR who can be serviceable, and I'd look for them to draft a WR early, as well.

@JosinaAnderson: WR Andre Johnson on what future team he prefers to play for: "Wherever I go, I hope I can play with a great (cont) http://t.co/35Mm3z4jKL

WR Andre Johnson on what future team he prefers to play for: "Wherever I go, I hope I can play with a great quarterback. I don't know. I'm just going to wait and see what happens. A lot of these teams want young players; so we'll just see what happens. I am open to visiting teams."

Bowe can be interesting as well if he gets cut.

If I were thinking about bringing Bowe onto my team, I'd look at him as a Tim Wright style of TE, instead of a WR. He's actually a good blocker for a WR, when he wants to be, and his ability to separate from quality DBs, never his strength, seemed to decline drastically last season.
