I don't know about you but I've watched this play a hundred times and I'm still waiting for the flag.

What would you of done if they threw a flag there? Anyway, any excuse to watch this again is a good one. On a side note, it doesn't appear if Collinsworth or Michaels was too happy the pats won

I have not been a fan of Collinsworth since his "There are 3 things I don't believe in anymore" speech before the Chargers game in 2007. He sounded very hard pressed to credit anything to the Pats yesterday. For a guy who claims to live in the film room honing his craft, he seems not gain much wisdom or insight from his studies.

Why would you be expecting a flag? He played that about as well as it could be played.

Never said I thought it was a penalty or that the play was.

I'm talking about the refs throwing a flag with the game on the line.

Would anyone of been surprised if a flag was tossed on browner for example?

Al Michaels is the biggest Pats hater out there. Of course he wasn't happy.

CC is somewhere behind him, down the line of haters.

I was ticked off at the flags that were thrown against the Pats last night.. Especially when on the Baldwin TD, Max Unger CLEARLY was holding Siliga by the Jersey's (hand had the collar grasped and was pulling down), yet they don't call it.. Yet, they called Stork for holding earlier..

The officials let the teams play last night, and we had a great game as a result. They missed a couple of plays that, even given the "let them play" should probably have been called, but they missed for both teams. As a result, I'm extremely satisfied with the way the officiating went last night.

I must have different ears than some folks here.

That call was fine - Michaels was shocked, but giggling. Collingsworth, "I can't believe the call."

Hell, I said the same thing!

I like Collingsworth doing our games. I always do. Loved him on Inside the NFl, too.

I still can't believe it. I keep going over scenarios in my head and then I remember, they don't matter, WE WON!

Awesome feeling. Everything is just a little sweeter today!

What gets me is that if Malcolm Butler were not on the field at that moment in time, we would not be Super Bowl champions today. Who would've thought that.

That was an extraordinary play, and had he not been beat on the same play in practice during the week, he probably doesn't make it.

And there was a play last night where a tripping Patriots DB swatted the feet out from a Seattle receiver. About as clear a DPI or illegal contact as you'll ever see, and in a big moment. No flag.

Refs were pretty consistent - that's what BB realized when he went and grabbed Browner: there won't be a lot of yellow on the field for the Superbowl. There just won't. Bad for business.

If you want hater listen to the Nantz and Simms crew. Compared to those clowns I would take CC any day.

The one call that bugged me was the muffed call on running into the punter's plant leg. Seattle got the same break last year in the NFCCG. The league needs to do a better job in those situations.

No kidding. Yesterday I started the "inactives" thread and I thought the activating of Butler was a curious decision by BB. Hilarious. What the hell do I know..

We got away with a push by Edelman for his TD and a PI on Butler over the middle. Butler also made three great plays, he had a great breakup over the middle late and allowed the flukish catch that set up his spectacular play at the end.

Seahawks got away with non-call on roughing the punter and shot to the head on Edelman's big catch.

BTW, does anyone here think that the officials letting the two teams played somehow made for a lesser football game?

Rodger and Peyton obviously do, but how about the people here?

Over-all it was the best SB in a long time.. Not just because the Pats won, but because the Refs were a much lesser factor..

Edelman got hit in the head by chancellor, yet no flag was thrown there.

It only showed me how boring some of the regular-season flag-fests really were...
