Never said I thought it was a penalty or that the play was.
I'm talking about the refs throwing a flag with the game on the line.
Would anyone of been surprised if a flag was tossed on browner for example?
No kidding. Yesterday I started the "inactives" thread and I thought the activating of Butler was a curious decision by BB. Hilarious. What the hell do I know..What gets me is that if Malcolm Butler were not on the field at that moment in time, we would not be Super Bowl champions today. Who would've thought that.
That was an extraordinary play, and had he not been beat on the same play in practice during the week, he probably doesn't make it.
The officials let the teams play last night, and we had a great game as a result. They missed a couple of plays that, even given the "let them play" should probably have been called, but they missed for both teams. As a result, I'm extremely satisfied with the way the officiating went last night.
Seahawks got away with non-call on roughing the punter and shot to the head on Edelman's big catch. We got away with a push by Edelman for his TD and a PI on Butler over the middle. Butler also made three great plays, he had a great breakup over the middle late and allowed the flukish catch that set up his spectacular play at the end.
BTW, does anyone here think that the officials letting the two teams played somehow made for a lesser football game?
Rodger and Peyton obviously do, but how about the people here?
