Yes - I do think Goodell is looking to improve his image, and that's why the witch hunt began. But if it comes up dry, then he's better off calling off the dogs.

Not sure what you are talking about. He said all relevant things (12.5, mamy variables eg. weather, doesnt know of anything).

Only thing missing is for the NFL to finally send out the press release that no tampering could be shown and that the investigation is over.

I dont see what else he could have said or done. No matter what,
the panel asshat parade would have had the exact same reaction.

He did do fine. A lot of people were going to shell him regardless of what he said. I bet some of those people already had their responses prepared even prior to Brady's presser just because they are such big haters.
