ONCE MORE: Who is declaring that he is declining?????????????????

Please, for the umpteenth time, learn about the concept of TENSES in the English language. It is something that will have to be addressed in the FUTURE. I hope when he is 45 years old, but there is a chance it may have to be addressed in 2016 or 2017.

What part of "In the meantime, I have never said he is deteriorating NOW" did you not understand?

.

I'm not the one who isn't making sense, you are. I have been very clear about the waiting for him to start to decline before declaring it so, I have absolutely no idea where you stand on on this at all.

No one wants to get rid of him now.

How can you not understand that?

Probably because you guys won't stop talking about it. You are all praising Bedard and Barnwell while apparently disowning their argument when called on it.

Well then your language comprehension is extremely poor because I have been writing exactly the same thing.

And, regarding this so-called decline, nobody has been "declaring it so " - - so your continual contention of this is mystifying.

When did I disown Bedard and Barnwell's arguments?

You are continually making up stuff here. I'm actually beginning to have sympathy for Deus.

Wow, danger zone was right, you are in full deus mode.

I'm out, you can keep talking about getting rid of Brady all you want.

Read above, comprehend that.

That's obvious, you are channeling him.

So you aren't talking about getting rid of Brady but agree with Bedard and Barnwell?

That's idiotic.

You are making up stuff.

When did I recommend getting rid of Brady??????

As I noted, Barnwell commented that this renegotiation made it possible for an easier and less stressful parting of the ways LATER - - IF it should come to that. Nothing more, nothing less.

In fact, the agreement is more of an advantage to BRADY, not to Kraft or the Patriots.

Good for Tom - - he's a smart businessman.

Here is the summary paragraph of the Barnwell piece. To most people, it is in very easy to understand English.

If you STILL can't understand this, then I can go no farther for you:

"My suspicion is that Brady never leaves. I think he retires as a member of the Patriots organization having never thrown a pass for another team. In the long run, this could basically end up meaning just about nothing. But this isn’t a deal about the most likely outcome, nor is it one about selflessly giving away money to try to make a better football team. It’s about two parties who likely both found themselves in need of flexibility. The Patriots want to be able to move on from Brady if he’s not up to snuff. And Brady surely wants to be able to choose where and when he goes out of football. Monday’s renegotiation made both those tasks far easier."

I think you guys are being way too hard on Shmessy. I think he's misinterpreting the restructure, but he has stated pretty clearly that he has no interest in seeing Tom go, just that it will happen eventually so we might as well be prepared for it.

Personally, I'm just a laundry rooter, so I don't have much of an attachment to anyone, even Brady.

I actually like shmessy and respect him, I just think he has been really convoluted in this thread.

Ahem... It isn't exactly a fact. It is actually baseless speculation at this point.

I hate to do this again, but Barnwell's assertions are completely baseless unless you can substantiate all the assumptions laid out in my link above.

I thought you were in the `Brady is on his way out` crowd because I came down on that position and then you came down on me, and then we had a sword fight, and now apparently you are saying Brady isn't on his way out, and the last 4 pages of this thread makes no sense.

Feeling is mutual. We'll have to agree to disagree here.

I think the Barnwell summary paragraph is quite clear. I understand Oswlek disagrees with Barnwell, but I side with Barnwell.

Only time will tell. I hope the renegotiated pact is irrelevant and Brady stays here at an elite status until he is 45 then calls it quits because he wants more time with his family.

If you STILL can't understand this, then I'm truly sorry for you:

And Bedard claimed there was a 45% chance they part ways with him after next season, which many in this b thread were agreeing with. My point was simple all along, there is no way he goes anywhere while he is still one of the best players in football and there is no sign that will let up anytime soon.

Basically people are saying the restructure was to get rid of him in the next few years while also trying to say they don't expect him gone in the near future---which is it?

No problem shmessy, these things happen.

I'm out. Have a good night.

Sorry about calling you deus.

I never said he is on his way out NOW.

He will be in the future.

Nothing is permanent.

This restructure of the agreement is like a pre-nuptial agreement (if one could take place DURING a marriage). "In the unlikely event........"

Two key words - - "while" and "is".

In training camp 2016 or 2017 might there be a MINORITY (i.e. 40-45%) percentage chance he won't be still one of the best players in football? I would say, yes. That would also mean that i think there would be a 55-60% chance that 2-3 years out he is STILL cranking it at an elite level.

Once again, this is all good INSURANCE for Tom Brady - - he got himself a "Get out of Jail Card" if he does not want a certain situation in the future to be rammed down his throat.

Good for him - - he deserves it!
