What a sad pathetic little figure Rex has become. It's probably just as well that he'll be gone at the end of the season. He's just no fun to hate anymore since the swagger and bravado are all gone.

Maybe he can rehab himself after a gig as a DC then come on as an HC somewhere else. Rex's last two years is going to make a 2nd chance a lot harder. Rex's 1st mistake was not checking out the Jets more before he signed up with them, but he's not the 1st. Lovie Smith jumped at the Tampa Bay HC opportunity and they are also 2-11.

IIRC, the only tiebreakers that can be used are: (1) SOS (lowest SOS picks first, so Pats wins = JEST pick dropping* ), (2) head-to-head results, and (3) coin flips. Tiebreakers such as conference record are not used.

*In fact, Pats wins hurt the JEST twice as much as non-division teams' wins.

This! The amount of material he ALONE provided for this thread (and it's not like we had to go digging--it just wrote itself) over the years provided so much entertainment, I really couldn't find a way to pay Rex back. So I won't.
