We will not be drafting first; the Raiders have the first pick locked up. Where will be picking remains to be seen, we have a higher Strength of Schedule than Tennessee and Tampa, so we're behind them at the moment. But if we finish ahead of Tampa and Tennessee I think the next GM (assuming Idzik is fired) will take Mariota.

If Idzik is here, we'll take another medicore DB.

The Jets should draft the best offensive lineman on the board with their first rounder. That player would be a cornerstone for the next 10-12 years, then go for the best inside linebacker at the top of the second round. Putting another young quarterback in that mess would be a waste. There are plenty of solid veteran QBs around to serve as a caretaker during the rebuild. The other player the Jets should go after is Adrian Peterson, if his psyche can handle the pressure in NYC. He could take the pressure off the passing game for a year or two.

I would agree with this, if I felt there was a top tier OT prospect. Cedric Obegui, Andrus Peat, and Schreff all have glaring flaws, that , in my opinion will haunt them in the NFL. I believe we should take Mariota, but if we pass on him, I don't see how we pass on Amari Cooper. He's a smooth route runner, has gamechanging speed,high points the ball well, and plays in an offense that requires him to run NFL routes. If Mariota is drafted, he should NOT be handed the starting gig, I'd rather see us have a true Quarterback competition(I'd like to see us sign a veteran, along the lines of Bradford or Matt Moore).
As for Peterson no thanks. We have already have a good, young RB in Ivory, who has very little mileage on his legs. Peterson would be the typical Jet signing-an aging star, on the decline.

Woody Johnson is not selling the team. There's no scheme or idea, that will get this guy to disappear. We're stuck with him, which is why I'm placing my focus on other areas, when it comes to the Jets.

Did you guys get to the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game in '13 and '06, because you had a great team?

No! NO! No! You guys won twelve games, because you have one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time taking snaps under center for you. Matt Cassel would NOT have won eight games with the roster you guys had last year..

Great Quarterbacks are able can make their team's flaws less prominent. That's the ultimate reason why you guys have been successful over the last twelve years. Yes Kraft played a vitsl role, and so did Bill, but Brady is the main reason why NE continues to dominate the AFC East and the NFL.
