Michael Vick - 5.18

Franchise QBs right now.... all of them!

Watch the games, and don't use meaningless fantasy stats. Derrek Carr is surrounded by one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, if not the worst, and he has zero playmakers, yet he continues to make plays. Did I mention Tony freaking Sparano is his head coach right now?

Here's what Carr does well: Excellent football IQ, consistently drives the ball, excellent mechanics, is mobile, and has displayed the ability to recover quickly from mistakes.

You have to remember that this thread is for the sole purpose of mocking the Jets. It's not our fault that your team gives us so much to work with that it gets this long.

One question though, for all Jets fans that think the same way. If Brady retires, Belichick stays and the team continues to win the AFCE and go to SBs, wouldn't that just be a kick in the gonads?

I hope he is, and Idzik too. Clean house bring in a new GM, and allow them to pick their Quarterback. Idzik is was, and will always be a cap guy. I'm just glad he left us with 40 million in cap space, and a high pick; makes it easier for the next GM.

One question for all you Pat fans: Why is is that you display more harted towards the Jets than the Dolphins and Bills?

Is it because deep down inside you know the Jets will have their flashes every now and then and challenge your team?

Sort of the downside of "Tom Brady... overrated."

Think about it, Jester dude. Matt Cassel went 11-5 with this team. Now I am a big fan of Brady's greatness, but what you seem to miss is that BB builds and coaches great teams. Not "a great front 4" or "A great front 7" or "A great quarterback." Each season we watch them gel in different ways, and the winning team culture gets them to the next step, whatever the hurdles.

What if that's not tied to Brady? What if you never get that?

I know, I know. Just waiting for that one shot-in-the-dark season. If you've paid attention to Joe Montana's recent commercials... "Black swans? They're unpredictable."

Why? Because I saw Tom Brady carry a medicore team to twelve wins, and the AFC championship game. I saw him do it in 06, and he does it time, time after time. Replace Brady with Matt Cassel on that 2013 team or 2006 team, and you guys don't win six games. Also having Moss helps. As for that snake, I don't like speaking about him.

I don't think fear of flashes could explain it this season, Jestfan. You might be able to tell yourself that for a couple years out of the last 10, but that's it. We've had duels for the division with Miami, for example... but there's something about the JEST.
