This is symptomatic of every dynasty. Inevitably they become complacent and continue to rely, to their detriment, on the status quo. The problem is while they stagnate, others improve.
The Patriots are killing themselves this season with poor execution, poor coaching and poor decision making. It's strange because those factors are normally what separate the Patriots from other teams in the NFL.
