My mock draft round one predictions....

Trading 24 to TB for their two second rounders seems interesting. 35th and 64th overall
Trading 24 to Miami for their two picks sounds good, and equels out better from a points stand point as well. NE's would get 40th and 60th overall.

NE could then use their two tradable sixth rounders to move up in with some of theirfirst day picks.

In other words, the Pats would be getting Miami to give them their second-rounder back: the net result is NE #24, #60, and #2xx for MIA #40, NE #60, and Wes Welker. Doesn't sound too bad to me.

Where's the depth? Would you rather have a starting three of Samuel, Revis, and Hobbs.

or

Samuel, Hobbs, Mickens/Scott?

Don't give me the "Eugen Wilson can play CB" arguement. Ne tried that last year, and it didn't workout. He's stuck at FS, is likely gone after this season, and lately has seemed somewhat injury prone. Gay can't be considered a starting CB at this point since he hasn't been healthy since 2004, and he hasn't even signed the offer sheet, yet. Gay is also a FA next year. Also, none of us know for sure that Samuel is getting extended. I'd like to add some stability to the position.

Kudos Cousin,
I agree with every statement you have made here!!!! Love Revis, Wilson is on the downward spiral. Gay....? o.k. backup.
At least Revis has size. People are "stumping" for Wilson. Every article says great little nickel back.
Good comments sir.

This is what I see as best selections for each team as projected first round picks - Your opinion?

Why does Detroit need Adrian Peterson?
Did Kevin Jones' legs fall off or is he in legal trouble that I'm not aware of?

Landry at 5 is a little early even though he is a great safety.

Huh Dwayne Jarrett at 8th overall? I wouldn't be surprised if he slipped out of the 1st entirely!

I would think that the 49ers would value Willis above Okoye. Afterall they missed out on the Adalius Thomas sweepstakes.

Also your draft doesn't account for the Lance Briggs sweepstakes. From what I hear the 49ers or Bills, or the Redskins might be sending their 1st rounder to Chicago in a deal for Briggs.

I really, really doubt that New England passes on Revis to draft Griffin. A quality corner is just too good to pass up and there are plenty more good safeties in a deep safety draft.

Other than that... good effort, I guess!

PS Raiders probably will pick Russell but I think it's a mistake. Calvin Johnson is the best "sure thing" offensive prospect since Bush.

What good does Johnson do you if you have Andrew Walter "slinging" the pigskin behind one of the most offensive lines [] known to man?

I think #1 is too high to draft an offensive lineman. They do have other draft picks you know. David Carr's also still looking for work.

CJ > JR That's all I'm saying. Do you disagree?

Detroit has told just about every media member they have NO idea who they will pick so anything can happen there,Adrian may be the player they choose simply because they have not made good or smart selections in the past,Mind you they have Matt Millen as main guy picking the player.

According to Draft Scouts,Jarrett has moved up considerably so why not at #8?,He may be the next best WR behind Calvin IMO.

Anyone picking the 1st round draft order of course picks without knowing what moves will be made which is almost a certainty-If we knew what was going to happen with Briggs and all we would be God so I went with just a simple 'if nothing happened' selections.

Before you guys completely "exclude" Gay as a good 3rd CB this year, I suggest you read this article:

http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/view.bg?articleid=192721

I'm not necessarily saying that we shouldn't draft a CB early, I just don't like when people automatically label some football players injury prone. Yes he had two injuries in back to back seasons. Rodney had 3 and he's going to be our starter and he's old. Injuries happen every year on every team at every position (yes, even kickers and punters sometimes). But many guys come back and play at the same level (if not better) as they did before the injury. We've seen this with Colvin's "career threatening hip injury," with Bruschi's stroke, Rodney, Eugene, Ty Law, and these are just a handful of Patriots players only. This is ridiculous, I mean, I even hear people are saying Maroney is injury prone now. C'mon now?

It's not that he's had two back-to-back injuries it's that both of those injuries landed him on IR. He's also still getting back into shape from this last injury. I don't think any of us are against Randall, or want to write him off.

However, in reality he hasn't been healthy since 2004, so we can't really depend on him being healthy in the future. I hope he turns it around, though.

You had me checking my calendar on that one...............oh, yeah, Bush was drafted last year.
