Suspended for amphetamines plus the three concussions? Clearly not worth the money, considering how well Edelman has done. I've been saying it for a long time, Welker would not be good without a great QB. This is one more reason Bill found him expendable.

It seems the NFL has added a few new off-season milestones: Pro Bowl, someone gets suspended, Draft, someone gets suspended, training camp opens, someone gets suspended, first preseason game, someone gets suspended, Nth preseason game, someone gets suspended, 53 man cutdown, someone gets suspended, 45 man cutdown, someone gets suspended, etc. So much for 'fantasy' football. But the Belichick-Welker relationship was already pretty cold, which never made sense to me.

Other than the Rex Ryan foot talk, he seemed a Belichick type player in every way. Maybe BB heard something about drug use. You probably don't just start popping Molly as a 33 year old.

So stupid of Welker! I can never figure why anyone would swallow anything made in a basement by some drug dealer. The ingredients usually contain rat poison, whatever is handy to cut it with, the ash from his blunt, and that's the good stuff!

Obviously Welker didn't just suddenly decide to try MDMA as the first drug he has ever tried. He obviously is a drug user and is now subject to increased testing. Looking forward to his year long suspension. the only thing that really worries me is that Brady was with him when he did it!

I'm sure BB might have a talk to Brady about that. I'm also sure that Brady is going to have to answer a boatload of questions about it.

I think Wes was a bigger loser in this deal.

He had a down year last year and had to leave his BFF Tom Brady. Wes was replaced in New England, and Wes life went downhill.

From afar, to me at least, he never seemed overly happy in Denver. Once he was there, he at times seemed as though he couldn't quite comprehend that he'd actually left here. It just all strikes me as sad.
