How to watch the game?

I might have to work the game this weekend. Essentially at a sports bar, back of the house though. I don't wanna hear the screams and cheers or boos cause I won't be able to go home not known the outcome.

I have a galaxy s5, I subscribe to direct tv and have tmobile. Is there ANY way way I can access any of these to my phone so I can watch? Thanks to the knowledgeable ones.

I have Sunday Ticket Max thru DirecTv. Allows you to view games on your phone. I don't think you get your local game though. You do get the Red Zone channel. Probably also need wifi because you will use a lot of data.

What he's saying is that if you're local to the NE area and the Pats game is on regular TV, you won't be able to watch it through the Directv Sunday Ticket package. There's really no other way that I know of, aside from some black market links with bad feeds that you could possibly access via your internet browser. The only real way that you could follow along would be to listen to it through your phone from internet radio stations.

But...

If you live in an out of area region which won't have the Pats game on locally, then you'll be able to watch it through the Directv Sunday Ticket app on your phone. Like Blaizer said, you'll want to make sure you're hooked up to wi-fi, due to the data usage. Good luck!

Directv has the exclusive rights so it's not like CBS can have an app where they show local games on to go. As you know, the local games aren't available through the Directv feed either on TV or through your mobile device.

Since they killed Aereo things are a little harder.

You can watch various illegal streams. They don't let you post links here. Those are pretty bad, though.

You can find a VPN to one of the countries where you can buy NFL's Gamepass for like $300. This might be pricey but it sure beats going to a bar in 49er country, I can tell you that.

You can buy a slingbox which is what I did since it's a one time $300 charge and I pay for my grandmother's internet and TV anyways so I'm just using that.

If you or someone you know lives in an apartment you can get NFL Sunday Ticket from Directv for $100. This won't cover Sunday, Monday or Thursday night games. Sunday night games are broadcast for free by NBC and I really love their streaming options which let you pick camera angle and have PiP, etc.

Or you can download torrents after the game at some torrent site whose URL I cannot provide and I'm not sure if they're open registration anymore, anyways.

That's all I know as far as options.

Why can't I just pay 5 dollars a month to watch only Patriots games. That's all I want for xmas every year.

I've been rather fortunate with lucking out and getting 10-12 patriots games the past few years but I'm looking at 7 games this season guaranteed for me. The rest are a toss up whether I get them or not.

I realize that's wishful thinking and not a realistic expectation, but here's why something like this - or pay per view - is not going to happen.

Think about what DirecTV pays for exclusive rights to sell the Sunday Ticket Package.

Now consider what they sell that service for: $240.

Now figure that even if you live out of town, you'll catch about eight Pats games for 'free' on regular TV channels.

That means for DTV to get the same amount of income to pay for their rights fees on a pay-per view basis, they would have to sell the other eight games for $30 a piece.

Now figure that those that buy the entire ST package are expecting a quantity discount; up the pay-per view price to $40 per game.

Now figure that some games like those against the Bills won't attract much demand, so you need to make the difference up elsewhere; now the price is $50 per game.


How many people are going to pay fifty bucks per game?

And if for some reason enough people did, what would that lead to?

More games being bid out to pay-per-view?

Are you local or somewhere outside of New England?

The last two years I've had free access to NFL Gamepass since I'm in New Zealand although I'm not sure if that's the case this year. Try using a VPN to New Zealand and seeing if that will work.

I am local. Local market anyway. Portland, maine.

I just thought dish might have what I know dish has. A way to stream your cable to your tablet instead of you tv. Which would help for me to do if I'm at work.

I suppose it's too much to ask for these companies to simplify what I already pay for. Games aren't the same when you watch them on dvr

I sign the NFL Gamepass every year, it's worth it.

129 bucks to full regular season, all 32 teams, if you sign only your team package is a little less, not much.

And works pretty well in my Galaxy S3, I watched the preseason game against the Panthers in the middle of a boring conference.

I'd second that. It'll let you sling any and all of your TV directly to your mobile device or computer, and the app works flawlessly.

I agree that the Slingbox is a good way to go. I used one when I lived overseas and loved it.

I know but that's not the point. The point is I wanna access my cable through my phone since I won't be home. I shouldn't need to pay for that. Not when wifi is in just every Sq inch of this country.
