He'd catch one pass a game but it would be the most important play of the game lol.By the end of the season last year, Collie probably had a better rapport with Brady, than any other WR not named Edelman....
I don't like this logjam of slot receivers as well, but I did like what I saw from Collie last season. Working with Brady and not that slot receiver killer named Manning, he may get past that injury history and regain his best.
The slot receiver is an essential part of our offense, we have Edelman and Amendola, I'm not convinced Boyce fits that Welker role. The plan has always been using Amendola on that role, I think Edelman can be used more to stretch the field with his speed and I believe we will see more of this on this season.
Having a decent backup would be smart considering Amendola's history and Collie can be used in different formations. I have to be honest, if Boyce does not show enough in TC I would consider moving on.
With the game on the line against saints and Brady had one chance, who did he think had the best chance to win. To beat actually be able to beat the defense when they were geared to stop a big play. Brady trusted Kenbrell could make the big play.
Well, except for that whole part where he isn't on the team anymore.
Yeah, I doubt we see Collie back here unless there are multiple injuries at the position all at once. Even then, he'd only be a depth signing.
As far as WRs on the shadow roster though, Austin Collie is a great guy to have in my opinion--at least with the limited amount of other realistic options that are available. He's got knowledge of our system, as well as experience. We could do much worse for guys on the shadow roster, or even depth signings.
Trip down memory lane right there.
Let's hope that Dobson soaks up Moss NFL knowledge.
What if Moss gets nostalgic and starts running routes like a beast on the practice field and nah.
NEVERNIND.
Oops...
@zuriberry: Milk in the cupboard, cereal in the fridge kinda morning. ... Randy Moss the reporter... http://t.co/aIn58Ofpuh
@zuriberry: Huge mistake on my part because I honestly did not know of the other Randy Moss.
