Look at that smarmy douchebag, Goodell, looking on like a two bit punk in a three piece suit...I hate this azzole more than ever

Love the comments on how it's now impossible to block a kick

FUGoodell

He's pretty funny up there, had the guy in the background smiling several times. I like how he's a smart guy, but comes off as the voice of the Common Joe Fan.

Of course all his points are 100% correct and obvious, which makes me wonder if they'll actually enact any of them

Anyone know who that guy in the back thoroughly enjoying the show is?

I think it's Bruce Allen Exec VP/GM of the Redskins. It looks like Snyder 2 seats in front of him and the logo on the table card looks like the 'Skins, although it's hard to make out.

He does get Bill's sarcasm when it comes to defending a PAT though.

I think Allen was laughing because he connected BB's comments about the impossibility of blocking kicks to the Pats at Jets game last season. (BB noted with frustration that pushing players into the line, among other things, has been outlawed.)

If I said that that was the first and only time that penalty was ever called, would I be wrong?

Mark Davis has the worst haircut in NFL history.

Listening to Florio whine and suggesting that Belichick should just quit makes you think that Bill wasn't even there at all.

But wait, he was!

You'd think after listening to Florio whine and suggest that Belichick should just quit because he missed the coaches group photo that Bill wasn't even there at all.

But oh wait, he was..

I wish I could get paid big money to say such gems as: "Florio, obviously you are incapable of being an objective reporter which is part of where your pay comes from. Why don't you quit and go mow lawns for a living?"

The only one of BB's changes that was passed was the goalpost one.

- The "all plays reviewable" was outright rejected mad
- Extra point was tabled for a future vote, but with experimental implementation in the preseason
- Boundary camera proposal was tabled for a future vote.

The extra point rule, I'm sure they'd like to see how it plays in practice before seeing. On the boundary camera one, I'm sure the owners tabled it so they could get a cost analysis done before making a decision.

At least replay was expanded to include all loose ball plays as that makes logical sense, but to Belichick's point - that only creates more confusion on what's reviewable and not reviewable.

Was that the same shirt from "a football life"?

Did they implement the rule where a guy is tackled by pulling a flag from his hip, or did that get put off until next year?

I wonder why he didn't suggest the goal post idea last year after we got royally screwed by it. Was awesome to see the ravens kick the same field goal this year but the refs called it no good this time. I can't imagine anybody is kicking the ball over the goal post anymore with the post extended 5 feet.

I'm not sure, but I love seeing Bill wear what looks like jeans while everyone else is in a suit!

Well goal post height was a no brainer and a cheap implementation. You only need to replace two of them per stadium. And it doesn't affect play, it just makes getting the call right easier for officials. So I'm not surprised it passed.

The extra cameras dedicated to boundaries, I think they are essential, and I think it should pass as long as it doesn't cost an outrageous amount of $$ to implement. Relying on the network cameras is not a good thing because they do miss things. You want to have the perfect shot when making reviews on plays like stepping out of bounds and did they cross the plane, etc.

It's going to be interesting to see the extra point rule tried out in the preseason. Although I'm not sure how much excitement it adds to a preseason game. LOL
